Porter's is the real deal y'all. Loads and loads of delicious food. The meat is smoked to perfection and the menu options both traditional and creative. The mac n cheese is so creamy from the gouda and very flavorful. The house made pickles are most excellent. The brisket is very tender and juicy. Almost doesn't even need any of their great bbq sauces, but the sauce is too good to pass up. The baked potato, I got loaded up with pulled pork, cheese, sour cream and chives. I could not finish all this food and had lunch and dinner for the next day! You get a lot of bang for your buck. My only regret is missing out on the jalapeño poppers. I guess those sell out pretty early in the day. They have some great beers to enjoy your dinner with. You won't be disappointed with Porter's.
I had the Tuesday special burned brisket ends. My brother had the regular brisket. We both liked that it was sold by weight so we could get the amount we wanted. We both thought the brisket was very good. I’d give four stars to the regular sauce. I also ordered the baked beans, the small side. 3/4 of a pound of brisket ends and the beans made for a very filling meal. The restaurant was comfortable, with very clean restrooms, which was much appreciated because I certainly needed to wash my sticky hands after the meal.
Wanted to check out Porter’s Real Barbecue since my wife and I saw them on an episode of Triple D. We just happened to be in the Tri-Cities for the weekend and boy Porter’s didn’t disappoint! Excellent BBQ. Must give them a try if your passing through the Tri-Cities.
Bit pricey cause it was weighed with the bone still in it but overall best bbq meat I’ve had in a while. No sauce needed. Total price of rib with drink was $62. Rib weighed 1.62 pounds with bone in. Will come again and try other menu items
I’d say a solid 3.5. The meat was fresh and warm. The mac and cheese was pretty bland but the beans were very flavorful. The bread was terrible. It’s very crumbly and was cold and hard. I’m not a fan of their sauces since they don’t offer a sweet sauce and that’s what I prefer. The restaurant was nice and clean.
