“I already loved the food I’ve had at the location on Main St, happy hour and beyond. A great restaurant is consistent across all locations and Hazel Dell meets that expectation. Not only that, we tried the beef medallions, fried chicken and the daily risotto. All were stunning and curated by one of the best waitresses we’ve ever had, Lindsay (or Lindsey). Whatever the spelling of her name, this asset to Amaro’s rocked our world with attentive, very friendly service and encouraged us to “challenge or palates” with some Amaros (restaurant namesake). While we weren’t exactly fans of the Amaros we weren’t mad because she took us on a culinary exploration that was exciting and didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend both locations to anyone who likes food.”

“Our family went to Cold Stone to take a friend from Louisana-the young lady was the only one working the counter and did pretty well all by herself. However a man from the back room came out to the register and helped someone who came in after us that was buying a cake (I was at the register waiting to pay) he took the other customer 1st, then waited on me with a snotty dispostion. So today I go back and the to buy a cone-customers waiting outside at 12:59pm it opens at 1:pm. So at 1:02 pm it opens and we waiting in line, lady in front of me ask for mango-strawberry & pineapple sorbet-the lady wasn't paying attention and asked her again. My turn-coffee lovers on a waffle cone is what i said-she answer what kind of cone-I repeat waffle cone-she mixes the cocoction like she's upset all the time complaining to the other co-worker. Co worker is ringing me up and she's still complaining.”

“First off, the staff is always always friendly and greets you immediately when walking in. I use this location often due to it being conveniently located within walking distance to my office. I went this morning and ordered a venti pink drink. I noticed when I got to work it was rather white looking and when I took a sip it was majority coconut milk. I called the store and they asked if I could come back in so they could remake my drink and luckily I was able to. I walked in again to smiling faces and Leroy informing me my new drink was almost done. I walked up to the counter and he gave me my new one remade and I have to say it was the best pink drink I've ever had. I don't know what kind of magic he put into it but I'm grateful! Leroy didn't make me feel awkward at all for correcting a mistake and I felt just as welcome as before. They all accept any critism so well and they really are driven to do/be better. It's truly refreshing. Leroy and the others didn't just correct a mistake, they made it so much better. I wish I remembered the batista's name who answered the phone, he did mention he worked drive thru but he was amazing as well and apologized so easy. I feel even better walking out than I ever have any establishment I've been to. These people are amazing and full of sunshine.”

“Great pizza, friendly staff and fast service. I got to chat briefly with Tyson the owner. He took his time explaining & showing what makes their pizza unique. Very friendly and down to earth guy. We enjoyed the texture, consistency and flavor (not too salty and not sweet) of the hand-tossed Buttermilk pie dough and it was baked perfectly to our taste. Mushrooms is fresh, pepperoni and mozzarella are great. Will try their Hawaiian next.”

“Poke Qube just opened up recently in the old Pita Pit building (next to Black Rock Coffee in Hazel Dell). I love sushi but have never had a Poke Bowl before and I am SUPER pleased with my first experience. I got a bowl with White Rice, Spicy Tuna, Salmon, cucumber, seaweed salad, crab salad, Poke Sauce, pickled ginger, and crispy onions. Everything tastes incredibly fresh and flavorful. I will be back soon! :-) Plus, the worker helping me was really nice and gave great customer service. She walked me through all the different flavors and made great recommendations.”
