“I like many others who have written reviews on here, have eaten here many many times. I considered the chimacum cafe the best place to eat in Jefferson county. I kind of consider it a family coffee shop. Not a typical big city restaurant where you have to dress up. It's just a place where us locals get together have a meal talk with friends and leave the table feeling so full that you can't move. Of course there's times when the service isn't going to be that great for one reason or another. I've been there had great service when the place was packed and people were waiting to get in. I've had terrible service when the place was packed. I've had the best service ever when no one was in the restaurant. And sometimes the food has been so amazing and it was like going to your grandma's on a Sunday afternoon for dinner. Other times it was sort of like the discount from the freezer and you're just heating it up for me? But generally I would say the food is pretty good. I know the breakfast portions are ginormous. And the pie is so good. I don't know why it's being so maybe the business just wasn't there it took a big hit during the beginning of the pandemic and that's really sad because we love this place. And I hope that whoever gets it will continue the family style dining and keep it local keep it warm keep it friendly because we need that.”

Especially with some of the grumpy, entitled characters they put up with (previous reviews) If you find yourself doing something 43 times & then blaming others, self awareness may help you explore other alternatives to get what you want. But then again maybe writing a bad review will help put them out of business so we can all be forced to drive to Chimicum or Walmart to find a Hot dog 🤔”

“Wow! We ordered some takeout and we were so impressed with how delicious it was, we decided to go and try it in person. We were so pleased with our dinner! We each had a combination dinner, which came with soup, egg roll, and fried or steamed rice, and fried dumplings. I had beef and broccoli, which was cooked perfectly (broccoli bright green yet tender). My husband had the Mongolian beef, which was quite spicy, but in a good way. We liked it so much, we ordered takeout the next day, and we don’t usually do Chinese back to back, but it was that good! We’ll definitely be ordering again in the near future!”
