“This place has its own pros and cons, yet it is indubitably an one-of-a-kind restaurant that offers a well-tailored list of unique cuisines. If you are accustomed to Americanized Chinese food, there are better places than this. If you want something spicy and numb or excessively flavored, there are more suitable places than this. If you are in the midst of haste, there are much faster-paced places than this. If you happen to have an opportunity to sit back and take your time to whole-heartily imbibe the mild and rich broth, you will find out the uniqueness about this place. If you can take a step further to look around and enjoy the interior decoration and the atmosphere it intends to inspire, you will find that it would dovetail with the taste of the foods in revealing a sense of halcyon hospitality. For this reason, a dine-in experience is quite different from that of deliver or take-out. In addition, the newly-changed menu is a plus for me personally. Thus, I would not say that this place is an one-size-fits-all dining choice, but rather a cozy recess for someone looking for a specific comfort and no-rush dining experience. UPDATE： They have changed their menu, and I think some of the items are over-priced. The chicken noodle soup is still good and within budget.”

“Welcome to the neighborhood! And let me tell you, we needed a place like you! I work a few doors down from this place and decided today I HAD to splurge for lunch. So glad I did because it was the most delicious lunch I've had all week. I tried the lamb and beef gyro, a personal favorite of mine. The meat was so flavorful and so tender and they are very generous with their toppings and portions, it was HUGE. I don't normally enjoy crinkle cut fries, but theirs are quite tasty. Can't wait to go back, they are so friendly and so quick.”

“*Italian not Mexican * The Wife and I came in for a Sunday evening dinner recently after hearing good things from a few friends. We were not disappointed. The food was really good and the atmosphere was great as well. The prices were OK but prices of eating out have skyrocketed in the last year. My wife enjoyed her pasta and I enjoyed my gnocchi. The best part was our server, she was fantastic. Super friendly, great service and even gave us some background on the chef/owner and the name. I believe her name was Nancy, if not please forgive me 😁 We will definitely be back!”

“If you like pizza and want to try something different, recommend ordering from Pizzatwist in Redmond in the PCC shopping center off Avondale Rd. Pizzatwist makes Indian-themed pizzas which is a nice change from the regular pizza we always order. We ordered a large pizza topped with half Butter Chicken and half Tandoori Chicken and it was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating. Now we want to try all of the other kinds of pizza they offer along with mac-n-cheese, salads and vegan pizza. It's best to order online and you will meet the nicest people working there. They deliver as well, except on Mondays. Check out their menu online since they have so many varieties to choose from. You will have to try this place!”

“The atmosphere is amazing, the pie fillings were also amazing. The pie crust, if I may, could use some tweaking. If they are basing it off of European pie crust, then disregard my comment as I can't say I've had them before. The crust was best with their chocolate mousse like pie, but our savory pies and my blueberry pie, they were tough and chewy. Not flaky and Crunchy like they looked or what I was expecting. Perhaps add more butter to the recipe? Or maybe it's their reheating method?”

“This place is wonderful. I highly recommend the Cheri Chicken, which, although pricier than most things on the menu, is amazing! Someone put a lot of thought into the sauce and the chicken is nice and juicy. For drinks, they have a great selection of scotch from the UK as well as Old Speckled Hen. All excellent options, and if you are more of a fan of something light, they have the classic Boddington’s too. The wait staff is great, explaining anything you might have questions about, like what “Stilton” cheese is vs “Leicester”, and a few of the staff members have even been to the UK or are from there and have really interesting information and stories to share. Great place!”

“Thrilled!! to know this place is still here after all these years. Used to visit this shop decades ago when I lived in Redmond. Now upon returning, it is wonderful to recapture and renew a connection to all the good people, good treats, and specialty items here. This visit we bought shortbread wedges from the bakery case. And of course these tender beauties put to shame the national brand in its plaid box. So light, scrumptious, perfect! Also got some other treats, including a plum tart and a jam tart. They've got a variety of what I would call hand pies or pasties, with meat filling, and they are also good. What really attracts me, personally, is the friendly service and the assortment of hard to find items for my baking needs. Golden syrup, custard powder, lady finger cookies, all sorts of teas, everything I don't want to be without. Top it off with gorgeous gift wares of cups, mugs, trays, tiered cookie serving pieces, and more. Glorious bit of happiness here, from old memories to the opportunity to make new.”
