I enjoyed the steak there, it was more food than I can eat for around 20 dollars. It's not necessarily fancy, it's on the simpler side of Mexican food.

Family friendly, huge portions, sombreros if it's your birthday. What else could you ask for. My family loves this place and I would recommend it to anyone who asked.

This is our family’s favorite Mexican restaurant in Seattle. It has incredible staff who are always so great to us and our kids. The food is awesome and fast too. Drinks great too! Such a great place it is our go to restaurant! Love it!

We were attending a performance at the Rainier performing arts center which is about a block away from El Sombrero. We were planning on getting slices of pizza, but saw El Sombrero and decided to give them a try. We were seated quickly and able to order in short order. Our drinks came out strong and quickly. Then the food came out - it was perfect. The salsa was about two stars hot. Anyone could handle it... almost. My enchiladas Verde were excellent. Nice tangy tomatillo sauce, tender juicy chicken and all nicely wrapped up in a corn tortilla. Truly it was a perfect enchilada. The rice and beans were flawless as well. My wife had the crisp chicken tacos which were awesome as well. My son had the super nachos which I had a few bites of. In short, I couldn't restrain myself. Since Mama's Mexican Kitchen closed, I haven't been this happy at a Mexican restaurant in Seattle. It's worth traveling to!
