I really like their food because it tastes like genuine home cooked not like fast food. I order extra so I have leftovers to enjoy for days. Also their peach cobbler is delish with its subtle spices and mild sweetness rather than being over-sugared like a fast food version would be.
Ezell's has the absolute best fried chicken, you can't make me think otherwise! Their portions are great for the price, and their fries are AMAZING. Highly recommend the Cajun fries as well as the spicy chicken. SUPERRR good. Plus, they are dog friendly. My fiance and I always bring our dog and sometimes they give him a treat or a roll. He loves this place too! I live just down the street from here so we visit quite often, sometimes weekly. Reminds me, I need to go back!
This is without a doubt the best fried chicken that I've ever had in my life. And the sides were good too!
(Beware there are no bathrooms at this location.)
Another outpost of a classic Seattle establishment. Serving fried chicken in Seattle since 1984, Ezell’s first started in the Central District and has quickly spread throughout the city and state. They serve two renditions of their dredge - original and spicy. I recommend the “Half & Half” to first timers to get a try of both and definitely recommend getting bone in chicken. My favorite is the thigh, but I think the breast is the best way to judge how well someone can cook chicken. In this particular instance, I felt that our breast meat was dried out and potentially sitting under the heat lamps for far too long. The thigh meat was definitely good, and I liked the spicy mix better.
