Very good place for friends, couple and travelers. About 8 tables indoors and outdoors. Suggest to go early, so more items on the menu are still available. If you don’t like the ginger flavor, let them know, b\c by default there will be a lot of ginger included.
I was excited to try this place, but had a mixed experience. The food was just okay, not amazing, and the portions are on the smaller side (the bowls look much bigger on Instagram) - so I thought it was a tad pricey considering. I don’t eat gluten so couldn’t fill up on the fried bread. I don’t think I’ll be back but the staff was nice and the place was clean, I also liked the location. Check it out if you’re curious.
So excited to have this gem on Seaview! We have been waiting for amazing breakfast in Ballard and this is the spot! Ditch the eggs Benedict for this amazing congee. Flavors were perfect. We had the classic chicken (it was indeed classic) and the sea bass, so much flavor, so good. Thank you for coming to Ballard!
Love the staff that work here. My partner and I have been coming to Secret Congee since their former location. We’ve tried pretty much everything they have on the menu and everything has been delicious! So happy they found a new home and we will gladly travel here to get solid congee.
Was skeptical but this was delicious! Just like any jook my grandmother would make me. There chicken is pretty flavorful too. If you want to try something different the sweet potato vegetarian one was honestly an Asian fusion I wasn’t mad about. Will have to go back.
