Quiet and relaxing bar, perfect for meeting friends and having conversation. Unlike a lot of the more trendy places in the old Ballard area, this place keeps the menu simple and high quality. We had a cider flight and cheese/meat plate. Salami and cheese were both very good if not standard. Cider flight was plain but a good intro to ciders. I would’ve preferred one of the ciders to be a little weirder to introduce some variety into the mix.
LOVE this spot for a good glass of wine and a cheese plate. All the cheese, meat and wine selections are great. Nice relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.
Good selection of different ciders, beer and wine. Nice atmosphere and fairly quiet, which made for good conversation. Definitely will return when back in Ballard.
Always a good beer selection, and they have some really cool maps thats you can look at. They frequently have special flights, from a specific brewery or style, which are fun to try.
It's also pretty good with noise level - even when it's pretty crowded, you can still have a conversation without shouting.
Had an engaging conversation with the owners about life and travel. Special people, who love their bar, care about serving the best beers and know their trade. More than anything made us feel welcome and at home. If we lived in Seattle, this would easily be our local.
