One of the best hot sandwich restaurants I've ever been to. Crisp, flaky bread.. flavorful meats and grilled vegetables, carmelized onions all on display while they cook/prep it just behind the counter. Vegetarian options are awesome and the whiskey bread pudding is hot and rich and big enough to share.
Delicious sandwiches here. I've even gone out of my way to get my fix. (I don't live in Shoreline) My personal favorite is the Gilbano. A bit of an Italian twist to a Philly cheese steak sandwich. The bread is delicious, always fresh, and piled high with delicious Philly steak, onions, bell peppers, and gorgonzola. They have a pretty good selection of beer and wine as well if you are into that. It's a little on the expensive side so I save it for special occasions, but I am always happy to come through when I get a chance. Always a great experience here. Go get yourself a hot sandwich!
I had the munchies so I hit em up. You should know, yes, they make a fine sandwich, they do...
However, I visit for their pasta. So tasty and good pretty much every time..
Good prices and fresh food.
I've been here more than a few times, & finally got around to a review.
Easy location, nice open, airy interior.
I'm a fan of their meatball sandwich, but have tried others, & I've yet to find one I didn't like.
Order the "Medium" sandwich unless you're really hungry or are splitting it with a friend.
A Shoreline institution, Grinders weathered a prolonged construction on Aurora avenue, but soldiered on and produces great food, drinks and entertainment.
We went for dinner and a show; the food is unique and very tasty. Drinks are varied and reasonably priced. Service is quick, efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Ooh, and the music is so, so good. Amazing blues music. Top that off with a slab of whiskey sauced bread pudding and it doesn't get much better.
Grinders seems to be a good place for takeout, while there, quite a few people came in for food to go.
If your in the mood for a good meal, give them a try. Check out the music lineup, you won't be disappointed.
