Not one to review places normally, but the food here is insane…in a very good way. Awesome new flavor combos. So far each of the 3 items I’ve tried were A+… looking forward to trying something new

Tried BGTK for the first time today and it was great! The asparagus salad was a delightful combination of flavors (and gluten free). The goat fries were piping hot and fresh. Can’t wait to see what chef Derek comes up with next!

I have been to Black Goat Test Kitchen many times. The quality of food is absolutely spectacular, Like Breathtaking at times. I have eaten food here that has made me go “oh my goodness this is so complex and interesting I've never eaten food quite like this!”. If you want locally sourced, freshly prepped, incredibly high quality food, this is the place to go! This is an amazingly creative test kitchen boasting incredibly high quality food.

This is a team of passionate people that are really doing something special! So give it a shot. You might end up loving it!

Friends!! Chef D with Team Cat and Black Goat Test Kitchen is my #1 favorite food place to eat at in all of Kitsap county..! Trust me, you will not find or enjoy a better meal period! Chef Derek is amazing and never disappoints, his food creations are works of art and should be savored!! If ever in the Kingston, Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island, Silverdale areas… stop by downtown Kingston and visit "Black Goat Test Kitchen" - you won’t be disappointed..!!

I can’t say enough great things about the Black Goat Test Kitchen and the owners. Having grown up in a household that was basically meat and potatoes I had a limited exposure to what “real” food looked and tasted like. My wife has always encouraged me to try new things and because of her I’m now more willing to try food outside my comfort zone. Black Goat Test Kitchen (BGTK) is definitely the place to try new and fun food. Derek is a master at the culinary arts. Between Derek and Cat they are coming up with delicious food that I’m fairly certain anyone will enjoy. Half the time I have to ask my wife or Google what the ingredients are because it’s like a foreign language to me, but at this point I should just shut up and take a bite because it won’t disappoint. I’m excited to see the continuously changing menu and anticipate trying new things on the regular. From a guy who is super picky and grew up with a limited palette I am so impressed with the BGTK and they have earned a regular client for sure. Don’t walk…RUN to the BGTK and enjoy some of the best food this side of the Sound.
