“Update January 2022: Went here this morning and we were pretty disappointed. Service was beyond slow with no explanation or apologies, drinks took 15 minutes, the food took 45+ minutes, then came out so cold it must have been sitting unheated for at least 15 minutes. I would have asked for it to be microwaved, but no one came to check on us after getting the food. My husband had to go to the bar multiple times to ask for things we needed, including the check, after sitting and waiting with dirty dishes on the table for 15 minutes after being done eating. The servers didn’t show any effort to hustle and seemed to be behind the bar most of the time. The table next to us was so upset they walked out, and I don’t think they should have yelled at their server but I don’t blame them for being upset. The only nice thing to say is that the mimosa was good and if the food had been warm it would probably have been excellent. Previous review- winter 2020: Good service! The food was very slow in arriving, which we didn't mind but could be a problem for some. The Monte Cristo sandwich doesn't come with fruit jam (and they don't have any), which was a new one for me and not a favorite, but the breakfast potatoes and clam chowder soup were both great. Mimosa sampler was good too. We're definitely going back to try some other menu items!”

“My husband and I went in on their first day open. We had a great overall experience, and the food was good! Made me miss California so much. Don’t mind the bad review from Olivia Kee, you could see online that she has left several reviews that are to other places that are all pretty bad. “You can tell whoever owns this place cares about their customers. There's a cute little sign on the door that if you take 2 seconds to read will make you feel really good about yourself. This place is a great size. There's a mini arcade and a cozy bar/restaurant area tucked away from the lanes so there's privacy and a quiet atmosphere if you're looking for it. The bathrooms are very clean! Everyone is friendly. Will definitely be coming back with my family.”

“I'm a big fan of this place! We were walking through Port Orchard after taking the foot ferry for the first time and started getting hungry. After realizing I couldn't take my son into the one place I wanted to try because it was 21 and over, we saw this place and I remembered seeing it on Yelp. We came in and were immediately seated. Whenever I try a new Thai place, I always get the Pad Thai. My son got the Orange Chicken and we shared an order of the Curry Puffs. While we were waiting, I saw a picture of Thai Iced Tea on Yelp as I scrolled through with my phone. I showed the picture to the waitress and asked her what it was, since whoever posted the picture didn't caption it. By the way, why put a picture on Yelp with no caption, that stuff drives me crazy. But I digress, the waitress let me know it was Thai Iced Tea and I said I'd like to try one. Why have I never had this before! It was so delicious. I will be getting that from now on. I think I know how people who eat really hot Thai food brag about how they can do it, it's the Thai Iced Tea that really erases the heat. My Pad Thai was really good, I ordered a 4 out of 5 on the spicy level, and I'd say it was just about a 4 in my book. My complaint is that the noodles were very rubbery. It may be intentional, but I really don't like trying to eat rubbery noodles. A nice touch was when I asked for chop sticks, I was given real porcelain chop sticks, not the wood ones in a wrapper. My son said that his Orange Chicken was the best he's had, #1 out of his top ten. Not that he's ever had that many versions. It looked really good and even had whole slices of orange in it. We both LOVED the Curry Puffs. Be careful because they are hot in the middle. It tasted very Indian and reminded me of something I had in an Indian place. The prices for everything were very reasonable. The waitresses were very sweet and quiet. This place is really good, but not the best I've had when it comes to Thai, but it comes VERY close and I want to try it a few more times. This could very well be a 5 star review after a few more visits. My son and I agreed that when he and I take the foot ferry together on our father son adventures, that we will stop here from now on and have lunch together. It's always cool to have a place like that to share with someone, so thanks to Thai Charlie's for being that place for us in Port Orchard!”

“I came to Port Orchard to come visit my long distance boyfriend for the first time. Our second night there we got to go to the Golden Grill and let me tell you.. that Sweet N’ Sour Chicken became my addiction. It was so good. We got it another 4 times on separate occasions since I kept insisting on going again. Bummer that they don’t have Orange Chicken but the Sweet N’ Sour chicken was amazing. The portions are also huge! I don’t usually get full but wow! It was a big portion. My boyfriend didn’t finish his! I’m back in Chicago now and a little heartbroken that there is no Golden Grill here. If you’re in the mood for some amazing food, Golden Grill on the Bay is the way to go!”

“Came for the smoothies and stayed for the sandwiches. It is a one man show, so it does take some time, but it is worth the wait. Let him know about any allergies and he will work to accommodate them. I didn't think I needed to be concerned about oranges with the sandwiches and fries but they are a garnish. Not sure if I overwhelmed him with the request to have no tomatoes or sauces on the club sandwich but he included them anyways. Wife remove the Mayo contaminated bread and undesired toppings to the best of her ability and finished the sandwich. As I have picky eaters in my family I'm use to this and usually just eat whatever they don't want. I look forward to stopping in again by myself.”
