“Amazing store! Delicious sandwiches made to order. One of the tastiest sandwiches I’ve had in awhile. Great vegetarian and vegan options. This place is a hidden gem, absolutely recommend a visit if you’re anywhere in the area.”

Gamble Sands

Address: 200 Sands Trail Rd, Brewster, WA 98812, USA

Restaurant

“Gamble Sands is a truly special place. Our group of 4 booked a stay and play package the weekend after Labor Day, and played the full course twice, and Quicksands twice. I loved the tranquil feeling of the resort more than anything. We remarked on a few occasions just how quiet the surroundings are while playing. When you couple that, and the panoramic views from everywhere on the course, you really do get the feeling that you’ve got the place to yourself. The course is so much fun! We had an eclectic mix of handicaps ranging from 4-16 and all of us felt that it was fair, yet challenging. After a few holes you start to realize that playing the humps and bumps of the course is the way to go, as opposed to the typical high flop shot approaches etc. I’ve heard some say that the undulations are gimmicky, but I disagree. The Quicksands course might qualify as such, but it’s meant to be played for fun and not taken too seriously (in my opinion). A couple downsides, and these are pretty minor really, is the Danny Boy restaurant is a little mediocre. The steak and the pork tenderloin I had the night before were just average, and the range balls are pretty worn out. These are minor gripes, and didn’t affect the overall trip. The Inn is awesome! The rooms are very nice and feel upscale, and you’ve gotta love waking up with a hot coffee, cool morning, and a massive football field size putting green to play around on before the big boy course. We will certainly be back when the new course is finished and I highly recommend making the trek to Gamble Sands if you’re reading this and wondering if it’s worth the hype and journey. It absolute is. The resort is equal parts Bandon (Resort type feel) Chambers Bay (Big and forgiving) and Wine Valley (Course conditions and layout).”

Address: 512 River Dr, Coulee Dam, WA 99116, USA

Restaurant

“I love mexican food as this place was pretty decent. I enjoy trying new things. Today was a cabbage salsa which every restaurant is different. I ordered an beef enchilada and beef tostada which tasted like the meat is made in a crock pot and served. Very wet. Rice was well done actually had flavor unlike others I've tasted. And of course Margareta was amazing. Always enjoy cops and salsa.”

Twisp River Tap House

Address: 201 Methow Valley Hwy N, Twisp, WA 98856, USA

Restaurant

“Pro: Food is absolutely delicious, beer is very good, and staff is super friendly. Con: For the price, the servings are TINY. Even the starters. We got the Pretzel starter with beer cheese dip. The beer cheese dip was 2.50 extra and was only a tablespoon of the dip. Didn't even last for half the pretzel. My husband got the Nachos starter as a main, it was so tiny, even for a starter, especially considering the price. I bought a salad main entree, it was the size of a side salad. I'm from Traverse City. Home of the the initial brewery and distillery growth boom in the late 90s early 2000s. My husband and I like to visit and support brewers, so we have experience. This price point is just too high. It was $9 a pint. That's just a bit much, especially if your going to open a tab and have a few drinks. 2 drinks a person on a date night would cost $40 without even buying food... Cost of alcohol aside, we are not big people. We left the meal after spending $50 and still hungry. So while I think everything tasted great and the staff was awesome. Unfortunately the price point left a bad taste in my mouth after leaving hungry.”

Wannacut Lake Resort

Address: 93 E Wannacut Ln, Oroville, WA 98844, USA

Restaurant

“Been coming here nearly every summer since the 70's and have seen it in varied forms of repair or improvement. Just returned from this summers stay and given the fact that the owners were still neck-deep in repairs and improvements (no store, no restaurant, no pool) we still managed to make this trip one of our more memorable ones. The new owners are exceptionally nice, accommodating and went out of their way to make sure our stay was a good one. Wannacut Lake is a hidden gem and the new owners are finally putting money back into the place with long overdue repairs and improvements; we couldn't fault them for the pool being closed or the store/restaurant being under construction (it gives us something to look forward to next year.) This place is magical to us - and still is. Hats off to the new owners for reviving this fantastic old resort and saving it from the chopping block. Personally, I recommend it to all my friends and family looking for a vacation spot that is relaxing, peaceful, and exceptionally beautiful. Can't wait to return next year to see how much it's improved. Highly recommended. Love it here!”

So far I've only had their Carne Asada plate and it is SOO GOOD! The meat they use has real quality to it, its thick, its juicy, it leaves you wanting more! The service here is incredible, As a hispanic myself being far from my family, this place has a very home touch to it. Pastime Brewery

Address: 1307 Main St, Oroville, WA 98844, USA

Restaurant

“Food was good but service was so, so. Family went for lunch and manager/owner? Rushed to the door and said minors (our children) had to enter through the side door. There was no signage to indicate the requirement but not a big deal. Server was new and friendly but not very knowledgeable. Asked for flights of beer but she wasn’t sure if they offered them, even thought they advertise themselves as a brewery. No pricing for flights was on the menu. The beer was okay, the food was good (should have fresh home cut fries, not frozen). The bar looked nice but our family section felt like an afterthought.”
