Great lil authentic mexican place. We loved it. So glad we tried it! Pleasantly surprised to find good mexican in LongBeach. Homemade tortillas even.
We went on Saturday around 4 pm. Cute simple decor. No restrooms. Had the chicken and grilled fish tacos with a ceviche tostada. Husband had chicken and al pastor tacos. All turned out to be prompt (about 15 mins) and well seasoned. They offer a large condiment bar that included several types of salsa. The ceviche was fresh but not super remarkable. The tostada under it was great. Suggestion: If not offering restrooms, how about wet naps for hands? Tacos are messy.
Mom and pop shop with the best tacos I've had in a while. They have every kind of meat you can think of, including lengua (tongue) and tripe, which aren't as common at some taco joints. I had a lengua, a pastor, and an asada. The lengua was juicy, soft, and full of meaty beefy flavor. The pastor was well marinated, slightly smoky, and the pineapple pieces grilled in the meat juices balanced everything out nicely. The asada was slightly charred, as it should be, and incredibly tender. The tacos were served on corn tortillas that tasted incredibly fresh (none of the frustrating crumbly pieces of cardboard that pass for tortillas at other joints). If you visit on weekend, they also have an amazing ceviche tostada that is a great appetizer.
Great authentic Mexican food. I'm not for sure but I'm pretty sure it's family run good prices great food! I've never had a long wait even when they are busy. Food is always fresh and service is great food
