“This is my favorite restaurant in downtown Newport. The menu is surprisingly extensive and i've eaten there multiple times but three times in the past week. Everything I've gotten is good. They have quite an extensive beer selection on tap as well as cocktails. Big outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Free Wi-Fi. The staff is very friendly and happy to answer any questions you have.”

“This gem is hidden in Newport. When you drive through or visit up here, stop in! It is worth it. As someone who has a severe allergy to dairy, I’m always hesitant to try new places. I don’t like to “inconvenience” the staff and ask questions that most of the time they don’t know the answers to. My family however, is not burdened with this - and they wanted to check the new place in Newport out. I went in anticipating to only ordering fries for myself - as that’s always a safe option. But left having one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! The owner and chef, Shari, swung by our table and was great at answering questions and providing an option for me - the waitresses were great as well. The breads are homemade, the food has great flavor and you can tell it isn’t frozen. A few nights before we went here, we went to Clinkerdaggers and the steak I had at Brownells was 100x better - the quality, flavor and price was exceptional. My family had the grilled cheese and burgers and they were top notch. My husband commented that he wished they had an adult grilled cheese because our sons’ was the best he’s ever had.”

“Yum! They have a vegetarian menu! I ordered Vegetarian Fajitas and they were delicious. Our hostess didn't smile or say anything to us, but our server was very warm and friendly and the manager checked in with us to see how everything was. The prices were fair and the chips and salsa were pretty yummy. I'm going to stop in every time I'm in town!”

“Got up on Saturday morning and was to Audrey’s by 8. Staff was very friendly, I had my fair share of coffee while waiting for my fantastic breakfast of a waffle and half order of biscuits and gravy. Both were so good but was unable to finish. I ordered the huckleberry pie to bring home!”

We had friendly & relaxed interactions with the owner. We got beignets to go, which we ended up eating in the car because they are incredibly delicious & moist. “Stopped into this amazing spot in Usk while biking through. Began with a fresh out of the oven chai snickerdoodle cookie. Perfect pairing of flavors. I’m hooked. I had 2 tacos with black beans. The corn shells were huge and generously stuffed. The beans were perfectly seasoned and the cheese was all melty in the middle. So yummy. My partner had the ramen shrimp special. He said the broth was rich in flavor and the noodles had perfect texture. If you’re ever in the vicinity of Usk, I encourage you to try Mellany’s. You will not regret it. The menu is expansive and you sure to find something to tempt your palate. As for me, I just want another cookie. 🔥❤️”

“This place reminds of when their sister property (Northern Quest) first opened, and actually had good food. While the menu doesn't knock your socks off, what they do have is prepared well, and isn't too terribly expensive being in the middle of beautiful nowhere. My burger was robust, Wifey's wings were fine, and the Cheeseburger Soup side I had was excellent. The staff made this experience great. Everyone was so friendly, and it was good to see young people that actually get off the couch and go to work. We would certainly dine here again when we visit the RV resort. Spotlessly clean place, too...”

“Nice café with a cute layout, a couple of tables outside also. We had chicken fried steaks. The fried eggs were overcooked and had like a plastic coating on them from how they were cooked. The chicken fried steak and gravy were both great. The toast was a bit black. Not many choices in this area for breakfast but we would go again if in the area. Nice friendly service. They had some awesome looking baked goods at the counter!”
