Amazing pies.
Great outdoor seating area for dog people. Staff is friendly and quick. Indoors is open now too!
Pint&Pie located in the Tacoma Stadium District is a casual and comfortable brew house experience with an open and airy interior easily accommodating current social distancing along with an even larger outdoor experience where one can easily enjoy warm summer days and evenings. As a brew pub format there are at least 14+ (on tap) local handcrafted beer/ales on offer in addition to a variety of artisan ciders and other beverages available to suit ones tastes. Other additions in the taste department include a light fare of pie centric items both sweet and savoury to satisfy ones appetite. The savoury pies (which are not housemade.. but excellent!) come either topped or surrounded in a rich buttery flakey pastry and filled with top shelf ingredients. The supurbly blended flavours are remenicent of having a country French influence, but all work well in being paired with the light to hearty ales being offered rather than a glass of wine. Each individual pot pie (selection includes Chicken, Turkey, Beef bourgogne, Vegetable and Mac and Cheese on my visit) arrives with a side of fresh arugula greens with cucumber, beets, feta cheese crumbles and a light tasty balsamic vinegret. Be warned though, the individual pot pie size (for price) is somewhat smaller than may be expected, which in addition to the pleasing taste and textures will leave you wanting more. As mentioned above, Pint&Pie also provides a limited dessert pie selection (sourced from an exceptional local bakery), but for me a bit too sweet and caloric after a few pints but the Lemon Meringue was tempting.
