The Onion Bar & Grill Downtown Spokane

Passing through the area and stopped at the onion bar and Grill in downtown Spokane. Warm family style restaurant with an extensive menu and decent beer selection. We only had appetizers so cannot comment on entrées. However, they looked incredible as servers walked by. I did have one of their milkshakes, which was very good. We would definitely stop by and eat there again.

I ordered the seafood platter and to my surprise all of the food was fried. There's no mention of them frying any of the food on the menu. I was greatly disappointed because I don't like to eat fried foods very much. They were very understaffed and didn't have a whole lot of time to pay attention to the tables. Definitely expensive for fried food.

We were visiting Spokane from Hawaii and Googled places to have a drink, glad we picked this place. It was a short drive from our hotel in downtown. The food was pretty good, the service was awesome and they have 51 beers on tap. Also got a custom 64oz flask for 39 bucks!

Not really impressed. Friends talked this place up, so we thought we would give it a try. We got there, and the place was almost empty. Drinks were ordered, and they forgot my water. Food was ordered, and I asked for water again. Food came, still no water. I asked for no sour cream, ended up with sour cream, and scraped it onto my wife's plate. Salmon was dry (still no water). Pickles were good, steak was good, potatoes were good. Finally got my water with my check and Togo box. I feel like it was way overpriced for the quality of food that was delivered. The place looks cool though, so it's got that going for it.

Nice looking place! Food looked good however it was lacking in many areas. I liked the idea of the foods that we ordered but the execution of the food left a lot to be desired. The fact that we were basically ignored for an hour did not help this situation. I would hard pass on a second time to this place.
