Shari's Cafe and Pies

This was our first visit today and will not be our last. It’s been a long time since we ate at a Shari’s. Everything was great. Shannon was our waitress and she provided excellent service. I am lactose intolerant and so appreciated the availability of your Allergen Menu. It helped me to decide on what to order. I had the Chicken Pecan Salad Sandwich. It was fresh and tasty. My husband had the tomato bisque soup, as we were on the way to the endodontist and he was not able to chew. We took home 2 pies because they looked great. We also appreciated that a military discount was available to us. Whenever we are in the area, we will make we stop here again.

Reliably delicious chain restaurant, with fresh ingredients (love their salads and sandwiches) that taste like they're made or sourced locally and prepared with care. Food never tastes or looks like it's over processed frozen junk that's been shipped vast distances and nuked in a microwave or over-fried in old oil, like a lot of chain restaurants serve. I always feel like I'm eating at a local mom and pop joint.

Just a family restaurant but serves a 5 star breakfast! Cinnamon French toast with caramel sauce and pecans is fantastic. As a combo includes 2 eggs and sausage or bacon. Hubby and I split the combo and had plenty of food. Pies in case looked great but we were too full to try any.

The food was very, very good and the service was as well. The country gravy is wonderful, and the biscuits they have (cheddar and cracked pepper) are outstanding *but* they don't marry well. I wish they had regular buttermilk biscuits for the biscuits and gravy. I won't get them again as is...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a meal of sirloin steak with broccoli and a green salad on the side. Our waiter was attentive and cordial. The atmosphere was inviting and pleasant, with an unhurried, low-noise quality. It was a comfortable place to sit and have a nice meal.
