Nice staff, nice crowed, great food. Wish I could give it 4.5 stars because it's better than 4 stars. Wait times to get a table sometimes get a little up there so -.5 stars but wait times wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't good, would it?
I love coming here! The food is so good, so filling. Omelets are so big and filling. Lots of coffee. Love the hot sauce there. I come here and get stuffed. My family can come here, my son comes in starving he walks out stuffed. So many options, from a good hearty breakfast to something small yet satisfying.
The mimosas are reasonably priced for how strong they are. The staff was amazingly kind. The food was outstanding. They allowed me to sub out ham for bacon, and brought me a single (1) pancake.
My only complaint was parking, but that's more Bellingham in general. People would honestly benefit from walking farther after dining at this excellent place.
It’s a solid place for breakfast: portions are big and prices decent. Service: consistently good. Can get crowded at times. Food: ok. Nice variety of options to choose from which should satisfy any group experience/picky eaters. Signature biscuit and gravy is decent.
Had a great experience last year! classic small town American diner.
Loved the huge, soft cinnamon roll and flannel hash.
Returned a year later....
The cinnamon roll was much smaller and entirely hidden by white frosting. I'm not exaggerating. I should have taken a photo. So much poured on frosting that you could only see the shape of the roll. If you're into lots of frosting, this is for you!
The corned beef in the corned beef hash was rubbery and fatty. I usually go for the hash as a yardstick for a new breakfast place. I'd recommend skipping it at Diamond Jim's
The $2.25 cup of coffee seemed a little steep considering we only got one pour. After asking several times for more, we finally got a refill after we were finished and received the check. That's also when I received my English muffin that was missing from my original order. Well actually it was half of an English muffin.
Diamond Jim's is a cool, small town diner that probably looks almost exactly like it did when it opened years ago. But if you're looking for more than a standard greasy spoon breakfast, you should look elsewhere.
