The menu here has a WIDE variety of dishes to choose from. This hidden gem has lots of flavors (multi-cultural dishes) that can satisfy specific cravings. The really kind staff are also worth a shout out or two!!

Love coming Here with my friends and family. Best Mexican food in bellingham! so many choices and cheap margaritas. I can not wait till it has a bar and i will go everyday.

The owner Junior is a very kind and generous man. Always giving us tastes of foods we had never had before. Daisy our waitress has time and time again taken very good care of us, always has the best smile on and makes me and my friends feel at home - JD

As a Canadian, one thing we can't get is good Mexican unless we cross the border into the United States. I was looking for a location I hadn't been yet and came across El Rey Latino restaurant. I was with my wife and one of my daughters and when we entered were greeted by very friendly staff. We were the only ones in the restaurant so were a little apprehensive but soon discovered that they were fairly new. The menu had many options from the various Latino countries. The food was delicious. It was well presented and the portions were generous. The complimentary chips salsa was very tasty. And at $1.25 a bottle for the drinks, an excellent value. I highly recommend this place. I'll certainly come back again.

We have been to this restaurant twice now. The first time we went, we were amazed at the generous portions, and the food was delicious. The prices are pretty competitive, ranging from about $14 to about $25. The menu is quite fun, as they offer foods from many different countries. My husband has had the molcajete both times, and absolutely loves it. It is not the traditional strewn you get in a Mexican restaurant, but a large portion of different kinds of meat, fried cheese, cactus, and a few other goodies. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the food today wasn't quite as good as last time, but I will change that if the next time it is back to where it was the first time. We will definitely go again.

Hubs and I have eaten here a few times now. Each time the people working have been very friendly and helpful. Being gluten and dairy free has not been an issue here. The only time they got hubs order wrong, putting cheese on his, they quickly made it right. I'm not sure what happened with the reviewer who said it was horrible but that hasn't been our experience. The place isn't shiny new but the food is good and the service has been exceptional. I don't work there and don't consider myself biased.
