“Been to this hidden away gem yet? If not, it is a must! The Chef is the best at making Shrimp and Grits among everything else on the menu. Beets by Matthew are a favorite too. If you're not a seafood lover you can go for the Shuksan Burger or Pork Cheeks 😊 So many good choices on the menu, with occasional seasonal surprises too. Knowing most of the items are locally sourced makes it all taste even better. Oh, and if you like a genuine Po'boy, the rolls are local from New Orleans. Just go through one of the double doors at the golf course and the kind staff are there for you. They had a tasting and pairing event last night with some amazing samples of food and ciders (Finn River) that was great to be a part of. Rumor has it they may do it again. Adding some pics of the delectable samples. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making us want to be regulars there. The warm summer night's, live music, great drinks and sweet servers definitely got us hooked.”

“One of our best meals in Bellingham. It was like we were walking into a small cafe in Italy. The food was amazing. You get to see Chef Casey cooking up a Strom in the open kitchen. The chef is very accommodating to your dietry needs.Everyone one was so kind and wonderful. Definitely a keeper for us to keep visiting. We will definitely be back.”

“5 SOLID Stars! The BBQ Banh Mi sandwich was perfect, flavourful with the perfect “snap” on the bread! The Thai wings were hot, flavourful with just a hint of a kick on the backside, perfect! This was our 1st visit but it most certainly will not be our last. Service & appreciation with a smile.”

“I don’t know that I could like this place any more than I already do. The cappuccino gold, which comes with a rim of finely crushed almonds and honey, has quickly become my favorite coffee in town. And talking with them about their process for sources their beans is impressive. Jean Pierre and Oscar have been wonderful—so welcoming and knowledgeable. Love the music and the atmosphere, and the coffee is outstanding. Highly recommended!”

“Me and my partner absolutely LOVE Mi Rancho and usually go there for lunch weekly! It's extremely affordable with great portion sizes, and is always super consistently delicious! The meat options are all fantastic but the asada definitely wins as my favorite. Who could say no to a GOOD $1 taco? Definitely recommend! 🌮💕”

“This gem of a gas station is worth taking the exit for! Great price on gas. Spacious set up makes it easy to pull in. Found it entertaining that as you gas up, ads and music play on the screen. Big market with hot food options and lots of different coffees and drinks. Got the dark roast and it was probably the best gas station brewed coffee I’ve had. Bonus - clean bathrooms with multiple stalls.”

“I am sooooo thrilled that Narrative has opened in Bellingham. The staff are friendly and clearly very passionate about coffee. I got a tasty cappuccino and I’m excited to go back soon to try the food and enjoy the space. They did a great job with the vibe and decor. *update* - returned and had an awesome biscuit sandwich. We also got their take home cookie dough and it’s amazing!”

“Hmmm, was looking forward to visiting, yet disappointed. The young gal was quite busy having an animated conversation with two patrons at the bar and I barely got her attention. The older gentlemen seemed to be completely uninterested in giving anyone attention, including the gal serving me. Considering that I only drink local mead or PNW hard cider, I was hoping for, "Hi, Welcome, have you been here before? Have you ever had our mead/cider ??" Or" can I suggest a 'flight'??". Oh well, I'll go back to Sky River Mead or Artivem or Seattle Mead (in Anacortes!). S k'a' l !!”

“Had a friend turn me onto this food truck. Great fish and chips down by the water. Make sure to ask if they have salmon and halibut, as they do get their fish fresh and they might be out. Doesn’t take but 10 minutes or less to get your food. They have some outdoor tables, no indoor seating so just keep that in mind. But they do take credit cards and the outside seating is nice when the weather permits.”

“I've been going to Dos Padres for years.. Seriously my whole life.. I am appalled by some of the reviews. I completely disagree. It's not your typical mexican restaurant, say Mi Mexico, or Jalapenos, but personally it's a lot better. The food is quality, and the atmosphere is desirable compared to other Mexican restaurants in town. And if not getting served crappy rice and beans with your entree is a turn off, that may be a good thing. I think the reviews for this restaurant are based on the opinions of people who don't care about the quality of their food. Its tasty, healthy, portions are good, salsa is the best, nachos are the best, fish tacos are the best-in-town-period. Let me end on this question.. Would a 3 star restaurant be in business as long as they have if they were really just a 3 star restaurant in this economy? I don't think so... I'm not going to say that it's the best food in the world, or that the service is incredible every time.. But seeing such a poor rating for a wonderful locally owned business that has never been disappointing is enough to get me to write a review.”

“We have been enjoying all of the Jalapeño locations for the last 20 years but we're thrilled to have one so close to home. They never disappoint. Always friendly, clean, welcoming, fun, delicious and great service. The price is right, not cheap but nothing is these days, for what you get. When we leave: our bellies are full and we always look forward to our next visit.”

“I read that El Tapatito won best of bellingham so i had to try it. Wow oh wow was i impressed. I had a go to Mexican spot in bellingham but no more. Had the $11 taco plate 2 asada and 1 pastor, beef was incredibly moist and tender the pastor was equally so. The rice was bland but beans and cheese awesome so overall an A+ from me and i will be back, can be sure of that”

“I guess don’t come here on a Saturday after 7? It’s like we got the scraps. Good flavor to the food. But I never seen a spring roll wrapped this bad. We had a three minute drive back to our place so it’s not like it went bad during the drive. And the fried spring roll that came with our dish was very chewy.”

“Great dive bar in Bellingham with pinball machines in decent shape. Vaccines are required and enforced, which was great. We saw a group of people come in unmasked, zip by the bar and were followed by a bartender to confirm vaccination. The group grumbled about the requirement and were politely escorted out. Drinks are good and cold. They frequently have fun cocktails. Not much else to say about a dive bar.”

“Nice place that feels like a little hideaway. Wonderful servers and food was really good. I tried their "pig pile burger", note burger meat is boar, and it was best burger I've had in a long time. Also fries there are now my favorite in town. It might look like small portions but it was surprisingly filling. I actually had to bring some home. I will definitely go there again just for that burger alone. Definitely recommend trying at least once. Lastly know now beer on tap they pour from bottle or can which is fine since they do have quite the variety.”
