“Beautiful location, comfortable and charming. Our room was lovely, with a big tub and a super comfortable bed. We loved it. The meals were wonderful. The hosts emailed us specific directions so that we didn't have to rely on Google (which can get things wrong out in the mountains!) We will be back, and we recommend that you spend some time there too!”

“I was in the area visiting friends and found this super cute and inviting place to stay. I was told the hotel has been in operation since 1881. Don't let the age fool you because this place has been completely renovated all while preserving it's history. In fact construction was just completed a week prior to my stay. My room was very charming and cozy. I am typically a light sleeper but I slept great during my two night stay. They are in the process of building a Taphouse as well which is located directly in front of the hotel. I can't wait to try it the next time I am in town. The front desk gal was super friendly and accommodating when I asked for extra towels. As I was checking out, a woman approached and asked me about my stay, to which I pretty much gave a verbal review of my room and how friendly the staff was, she let me know she (and her husband) were the owners and thanked me for my stay. I could tell by our conversation just how much she loved her community. You just don't get that at the bigger chain hotels.(SN: I took a picture of my room but having trouble uploading. “Went to lunch with my mom today, the food was great as we both got the Lunch Fajitas which was mixed with Beef, chicken and shrimp. Also the chips and salsa were great as the salsa was not bland had great flavor and spice! The recipe was good as our waiter made sure we were okay multiple times. We definitely plan on coming back for dinner and mixed drinks!”

“I was surprised to have a great BBQ sandwich with a great taste in the area. I could not ask for anything better with plenty side dishes to choose. I talked to one of the owners a very nice young man for a few minutes and discovered he was from Louisiana and brought the favorable recipe with him. It's a small carryout restaurant with a few benches outside for seating but worth the trip.”
