The Lost River General Store & Cafe

This little place is a delightful oasis! Their food is hot, fresh, and extremely tasty (I recommend the drunken pig Panini when it's on special); don't forget to enjoy some ice cream! The store and cafe are clean, inviting, and cozy. 100% will visit again!

Super friendly staff, really good espresso shots (we ordered doppio) and ice cream! Quaint small place with unique wares. The building is a landmark with original floors and stairs, it’s a treat to enjoy such a rustic, whimsical location. We can’t wait for this place to open back up in the spring to try the rest of their menu and sit on the back porch and enjoy the moment. The person that reviewed that their espresso as weak ordered a cappuccino which is literally a lot of milk and a little espresso. If you want a shot of espresso then order one. If you want an espresso with a little milk, order espresso macchiato don’t fault the merchant for your mistake.

I,m gonna give this place a five even though it has been under new management for only three weeks. Patrick made me a cheese and tomato Paninni that was fantastic, along with the potato salad and chips! I got a cup of coffee that was Hot and not Luke warm most places, it was very good. The service was exceptional and once they get more items on the menu it will be one of those Kick Stand Up trips to see the country side and get a good meal.

The owners, Ted and Tony, are great people. This is important for the community and tourism. You can get delicious barbecue, gourmet ice cream, panini, soup, salad and coffee drinks. It is a quaint West Virginia gift shop. They also have the gorgeous B&B on the property. Recommend staying there. 5 star!!
