The fish and chips here are just the best! Awesome service too, and a great atmosphere. Really love how it's decorated inside. Great place to take kids or a date, and they have beer/wine as well.

Great atmosphere, good food, bad service. Another reviewer described the waitress as "friendly as a beehive that had been poked" and that is spot on. The food took 40 minutes and she never said a word to us during the wait. The cook actually came out to ask if we'd been helped after about 20 minutes so I assume there was a mix up with our order. He was very nice. The food was good and there was plenty of it.

Wow, truly tasty. If you're looking for something really good. with a great atmosphere, staff ready to serve, for great prices, give it a try. I'll venture to say, a Hidden Gem. As someone who travels and eats out daily, it is hard to find something that qualifies as this. I will be back. Had the Cuban Steak ... Mmmm!

Nice local restaurant in downtown Charles Town. A group of 8 of us decided to try Calico Jack's this past week and we were all glad we did.

There is a decent amount of seating in the restaurant and the decor and ambiance fit together nicely. We were greeted immediately by the server on duty. He was alone when we went but it was a Sunday afternoon. He was still very attentive. No complaint at all with the service.

We ordered our food and drinks and drinks were brought immediately. The food took a little longer but it was not a ridiculously long time. Again, there was one server and there were several tables of people there.

The food was excellent. The only trouble was we all wished there were more of it. We agreed that the portion size of a couple of items was a little lean but it would not prevent us from returning. Overall we had a good time and left happy.

They told us if we enjoyed the meal to ring a bell by the door so the cook could hear it. It was a nice touch. We all rang the bell!

I wish this restaurant the best of luck and hope many other people will give it a try. We will go back for sure.

Family friendly, fun and unique. The food is great and the service is over the top. It is owned by a couple and all of the employees are members of some form of Service (military, EMT, firefighters). This is a tight knit group that all work together to make your visit very intimate and special. I stumbled across this awesome little spot by accident. The smell of great food as I walked by. What Calico Jacks lacks in size it more than makes up for in character and quality. My wife and I just got back from Valentines day dinner. We both agree that we will be going back often. They are in the process of getting a beer and wine license.
