“Very nice place on Lake Petenwell with a beach, boat launch, restaurant and bar. It wasn't that busy when we went, just two tables with customers and a few people at the bar. They offer ribs and chicken, shrimp, cod dinners, etc. as well as burgers. What killed it for me was the atmosphere. The help (and there was enough help) just didn't seem to be enjoying their jobs. Not much for smiling, not very friendly and service was slow. This place did not give a welcoming impression. What a shame for such a nice looking place. Would not go back again.”

“First time visiting Hoozels at The Lakes since they opened. Nice atmosphere and clean looking design. I ordered the Bloody Mary and was not disappointed. Great taste and condiments. For lunch I had the chicken sandwich with fries and the chicken was perfect with not a sign of gristle. Waitstaff was personable and efficient.”

“This is excellent pizza. There is plenty of cheese and all of the toppings taste great. Crust (thin) is perfect. Could stand to be a little more firm in the middle but I loved the pizza regardless. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.”

“Pretty good for what it is - a nice restaurant in a very rural area. Service is good and the staff is friendly. We were there early and they decided to seat the only other two groups that followed right next to us, even though the entire restaurant was empty. It was very quiet and uncomfortable. Food was decent, as was the wine.”

“I was visiting family and we went to Sand Valley Golf resort and it was my first time there. It is a very scenic and beautiful golf course. Lots of sand and dunes all over and they have cabins and rooms available for you to stay. The staff is great and attentive if you need anything. We stopped off at Mammoth Bar and Lounge and sat by the fire pit and enjoyed some music and some drinks. It was a beautiful day out and the sun was about to set along with the scenery from the lounge area, just amazing. I am not a golfer but they offer a variety of trails that you can walk or bike. It is a bit pricey but a visit to see what this place looks like is worth it. I enjoyed my visit there and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area to stop in and check Sand Valley / Mammoth Bar & Lounge/ Aldo Farm to Table. These are all located with the same location.”
