    Went to Madison to take our son out for a fish fry. After reading the reviews for the Laurel Tavern, we decided to give it a try. We were happy with our choice! The fish fry was good and the atmosphere was fun! Many beer choices, good wait staff. Also tried their cheese curds which were great. And their hash browns that came with the fish fry were to die for! Definitely would go back.

    Food was great, atmosphere was good, and service was just fine. Combine that with reasonable prices and you got yourself a good establishment.

    After a long time I tasted a good beefy burger. I highly recommend the Laurel burger. The meat was well done(I like it that way), the bun wasn't soggy and it tasted just right. The fries were okay, nothing great about them. The prices are very affordable. Also, the beer selection is good. A wide variety of local draft beers. The crowd is generally local area family people. Parking in the back is always appreciated in this busy area.

    We went here on a recommendation from a friend. I got the special, a blackened burger topped w/ bacon, Bleu cheese, BBQ sauce and onion strings. I've eaten a lot of burgers I'm and around Madison, and this is easily in the top 10, probably too 5. We'll definitely be coming back.
