The English Inn

Our dinner at the English Inn was over the top. First, I have to say it is on the higher price end, but we'll worth it. Friday fish fry is excellent, even the carrots are beyond expectations. Great service and beautiful environment.

The Beef Wellington special is fantastic. Hopefully you are there on a night when we have it. If you are looking for something more upscale in Door County this is a lovely place. The interior decor reminds me of a comfy old school supper club with a nice outdoor area they added a few years back. We had a large enough group that we qualified for the free lobster tail special which was a nice bonus. Glad to see this place maintains its quality for the many, many years we have gone here.

Our poor waitress. She says working her tail off in a very warm outdoor environment. She was sweet as pie and betrayed somewhat by the barstaff in getting us drinks on time. Regardless, the setting was very nice. The food was good. The pricing was ridiculous. No matter we had fun. Very nice wine list and dishes were delicious. Worth a try if you don't care about money. Take a picture in front of the knight on horseback.

We had a lovely birthday celebration at the English Inn. The food was delicious and drinks divine. The service we received was outstanding. Server, Coreen, was so patient and kind to our Mother and took great care of her dietary issues. After Dinner the staff gathered to sing Happy Birthday. Wonderful!

Had the fish fry. Was good. I loved that on the re order you could mix and match. Outdoor sitting area is amazing. Make reservations! Need to come back and try it again. Came on an extremely chaotic night where they had some issues but were open with the sitting and serving times upon arrival. Their openness was fantastic but want to give it a go on a normal night.
