Donny's Glidden Lodge

With views over the lake and a great reputation, some say this is the best place to eat in Door County. I won't disagree though it's not my personal favorite. Just know, I went there twice last week, so yes, I really like it and recommend it. Great steaks and specials. The bar drinks aren't the best, so don't expect a top-shelf craft cocktail. It's just not their thing. However, I have to say, that for the atmosphere, view, and food, - you can't beat this value in all of Door County. They are busy and you need reservations a few days ahead.

Beautiful view and lovely food. I had the tuna and it was fine, but I wish I'd gotten the house namesake, The Glidden. My wife got it and was nice enough to share. Lucky me!

The service was fast and courteous and the hostess generously took time to snap a group photo lakeside.

Very good food. The steaks were cooked perfect, even though I like mine almost well, it was still very tender. The red cabbage soup was also very good even though I wasn't sure I wanted to try it. Nice setting overlooking the lake.

This place is a must!!
We were a party of 8 and our server "Sassy Cassie" was outstanding - we all enjoyed her energy - and her can do spirit!
Food was delicious and meals come with fresh made bread/buns, soups and salad bar.
Items ordered were, lobster with lamb chop, steaks, fish and fried shrimp

Even though the food was great-I really think what made it all so perfect was the service from Cassie!

We will def. go back next time we are in town

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Door County! Food and drinks are delicious! You can't go wrong. Steak, chicken, shrimp all wonderful! Lobster tails are fresh and the soup and salad bar have quite the variety! Go check em out! You won't be disappointed!
