The Hitching Post Bar & Grill

This place was just down the road from where we were staying so it was a no-brainer to go there. But, for those of you considering a further drive, this is a great local hangout with a ton of character. It's very casual, with an outdoor area in the yard to the side. The food was frankly very good. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean wrap. It was very tasty. They have outdoor cornhole for the kids to play along with a firepit and sometimes they have outdoor live music. I wouldn't drive across the peninsula to go there, but if you are on this side, it might be good for that casual night you don't want to cook.

This place was great! Small restaurant that looks like a cabin, but is very nice on the inside and has a great outdoor seating area. Owned by a family who own and operate the place who are just the nicest people ever, and the food is great too! Try the Piggy Plus, my wife called it one of the best pulled pork sandwiches she's ever had and I'm inclined to agree! Kids loved their burgers too!

Super friendly staff and owners. Good conversation, great beer and food. Nice location.

Good sandwiches! Good place for families, indoor and outdoor seating, and nice service.
The only downside is that the indoor portion didnt seem to have AC and the day we went was hot.

Had a great experience after a long hike at Whitefish Dune Park! Highly recommend making a stop for lunch or dinner! Great service and great food.
