Great winery, with a little gift shop too! Amanda, was a great host/server. She took the time, to provide excellent recommendations and was very friendly. This was the perfect place, to enjoy a flight ($12) of delicious wines and do some work (free wifi). Food is unavailable, as the kitchen is closed on Sundays. However, excellent choices around within a 2-5 minute walk recommended by Amanda. My favorite wines were the Jefferson (aged in a bourbon barrel) and the matromony (a coffee flavor).
Came to Stable Rock to watch live music (Gebel Girls) and to enjoy a glass of wine. While watching and listening we ordered some food and the potions are great and the taste was even better!
I would recommend this wine as well as the wine at Lewis Station in Lake Mills. The atmosphere was good and the staff is friendly.
This winery is awesome. We like to come on Sundays when the flights are half off.
I signed up for their reward program and it builds up quickly. There are a lot of different wines for different customers, I like more red and dry and my husband like more sweet- Stable Rock has all of these and lots in-between. I saw a sign of theirs that said the use fully solar power to run the winery which is awesome to see.
We came with two kids (they had tablets and kept quite) who were welcomed.
We have not eaten here. I have Celiac, and they have gluten free options, I asked about their cross contamination process and it doesn't sound safe. There is no separate area, but that's ok for me. I can eat first or bring in my own safe food, and then go to the winery.
For somewhere half way between Waukesha and Madison, this is the perfect stop.
Very cool old building done up nicely. We were just passing through and stopped in for a quick look. The owner was very nice and extremely knowledgeable about wines. We will be coming back when we have more time!
Great winery and distillery with wonderful views of the park and river. The salmon dip is delicious and the flatbread was tasty, the thick wood-fired crust was the best! We love the giant wurst plate they serve, it is great to share with a large group and the chef is always checking to make sure the food is being enjoyed! This has become a favorite spot for us!
