“I go there for open Mic on the fourth Friday of the month.Great sound system . Very clean bar with good food. Very friendly place. Liberace use to perform there on there stage. The talent there is at the top of the charts with a variety of music .With some song writers doing new songs . The entire place has been remodeled . Peter the owner did all of the remodeling. Sign up is at 630 and performers start at 7 pm. Singers and bands are welcome.”

“Nice cozy little place. From the outside it looks like a huge castle but once inside, not very big considering what you were expecting. Small area to wait, so most waiting outside in the cold but otherwise very welcoming. The food was amazing in my opinion. Wife had some California omelet thing and I had the biscuits and gravy. We both enjoyed this very much and happy there is a nice little breakfast spot in the community with excellent service!! Thank you and we will come again.”

“My wife and I decided to make a random lakefront drive up from IL towards Milwaukee with the intentions of stopping somewhere for food and drinks. Ran into this place and honestly stopped because this is our initials J and C lol. The bartender was excellent! The place was super super clean. The homemade chips and salsa were quite good. Definitely tasted homemade. Ordered a dozen wings, also very much above avg for the bar world. I had a steak wrap that was simply amazing. You could tell it was freshly cut steak. My wife had a cheese curd burger that was also very very good. Handmade patty. Excellent. Highly recommended!”

“Absolutely amazing food from the friendliest folks. Ever since their opening I keep coming back for more. Had to wait only a few extra minutes for our curbside pick-up and they went above and beyond offering us a free side. Not only that but one of the best vegan burgers ive ever had in all of my travels, and so close to home! And their ice cream? I tried the dirt cake flavor and was not disappointed, brought back the sweet memories of a childhood favorite. I recommend this spot to vegans and non vegans alike, a great burger is a great burger, even if (or especially when) it is cruelty free.”

“Edited 5/14/14: They no longer have the breakfast buffet, stars have been adjusted to three. The food is okay, but all you can eat was the best. Probably won't be going back. Love it. $7.25 for the breakfast buffet on the weekends and they have everything anyone could want. Pancakes, french toast, waffles, biscuits and gravy, a full salad bar, a full butter and syrup bar, eggs with sausage, eggs without sausage, pork gravy you can throw on your eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, just about anything you could ever dream up. Oh, and be sure to try the eggs done up in a tortilla with cheese. Very much worth the money for all you can eat. I've never had anything else here, but the buffet is a can't miss.”

“What we loved - Overall very good food. Prices are reasonable. Service pretty good. What we did not love - we sat in the large back dining room right next to a portable dish-collecting station. OMG, servers would literally toss their dishes in there which resulted in very loud banging noises.....constantly. Very obnoxious and borderline rude by the staff. Are they too lazy to walk an extra 15 steps back to the kitchen? Can we enjoy our delicious prime rib without being startled every 10 seconds? They may have well seated us in the back room by the dishwasher. We will be back, but for the love of God, can you please have the servers carry the dishes back to the kitchen/dishwasher area and get rid of the dirty dish bin right in the dining room?!”

Their strawberry margaritas are pretty good and when I told the server that it was my best friend's birthday, he brought out two tequila shots and hers had a candle in it. “It was an awesome first experience. Me and my girlfriend got some foods. The guac was amazing probably the best I ever had and right when we sat down they gave us chips and salsa. Unfortunately I’ve only successfully gotten Layton Gyros 4 times; tried about 12. Contrary to what it says, they are open till 4 pm at best. If they were even open until 9 pm I would give them 6 stars, no question. P.S. I’m sure their breakfast is fantastic, but I’ve never had it.”

“In a word... Excellent. We stopped in for a pizza and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy on the outside and perfectly melty on the inside. For pizza, we got a meat eater with stuffed crust. This pizza was served hot, and it looked impressive. The taste was so much better than the well known pizza chain stuffed crust pizza. We will be getting food from Pizza Pete's again, and probably sooner than later.”

“Stopped for Friday fish fry and was not crowded, but it should have been. Five fish choices; my wife chose baked cod and I had fried bluegill. Both were good. Tartar sauce and coleslaw were average. Rye bread was above average. Potato pancakes were excellent. Service was good and not overbearing. Atmosphere is casual and unpretentious. We'll be back to try some other menu items, like smoked brisket.”

Food is inventive but accessible to the Midwestern palate and not overly complicated and very satisfying. Excellent service. Like most restaurants, it will be loud when busy. Easy parking.”
