“Came in from South Louisiana to visit my son and he had been telling me about Ruby J’s Restaurant. We were able to meet Mr. Eric and Mrs. Deborah Brown, the owners. The food was delicious! I had the fried chicken that was to die for. Ms Deborah gave me a taste of her sweet potato casserole to try as an option for my side. It is exactly like my mom’s recipe. My son had the Mac n Cheese and wings. We even ordered the all time summer favorite Kool-aid. It’s the simple things in life! Everything they cook and make you can taste the love! The customer service is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. There is an area with TV’s and if you sit towards the back they have this nice jazz playing. Love the big windows that you can see the outside. I was amazed that they had only been open since the beginning of 2023. Make sure to read and learn the history about Mrs. Ruby J. If you live in Milwaukee or in town visiting it is a must to try this cafe family restaurant. You can park for free diagonally across the street. It is a delicious experience that you will want to come back to try the specials and more of the menu. I highly recommend Ruby J’s Restaurant. Who knows🤷🏽♀️. My waitress was really sweet but she did not listen. It could have been that the music was too high which I can understand. I love that they do unlimited mimosas for a decent price but I would recommend just serving the bottle of champagne with a pitcher of juice. Only because our server had lots of tables and we waited at least 20 minutes in between drinks even after we asked for refills. Was offered water we never got. Originally I asked for 2 appetizers and one side but if they didn't have the side available I just wanted to try the ONE entree instead. Came back to let me know it was not available so we proceeded to get the entree I preferred. However due to lack of listening or maybe hearing me (again I don't know) I ended paying for the one entree and basically my original order (apps and sides). I did not say anything about it because again our server was sweet I just would've wished she was more attentive. Next time I might just sit at the bar so I can get faster service. Although one of the bartenders has a slightly nasty attitude. It's a beautiful establishment though. Hoping a better structure or game plan for staff helps with more enhanceed efficiency. I would return again if things got better for sure!!”

“Okay, so I’m ordered a lot of food. It was take out and I have no intentions of cooking this weekend, I ordered the rib tips with two sides, I thought it was kinda expensive, but oh well. Side note, hated the parking on fond du lac with the corner barriers. I screamed-thought for sure I was goners trying to park my car. Back to the food-two sides-smoked Mac n cheese and sweet potatoes. Both were good and tasty. The rib tips were kinda tough and not seasoned enough for me. However, I would order again and just add more seasoning at home and cook it a little longer. Also ordered hot wings and fried mushrooms. Mushroom were good good, but the wings lacked flavoring. My friend who doesn’t like spicy food would’ve gave this a 4 or 5, but I gave it a 3. I need some seasoning, and for it to have a kick. I’m thinking the chef is playing it safe. The smoked Mac n cheese was really good, so I know he’s holding back. Probably would return but I’d call ahead /took over 30 minutes for my order.”

“I do recommend this place and the wine tasting experience. Next time I am in Milwaukee, I'd love to come back! The wine selection was wonderful especially the international and regional wines. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient with our group (bachelorette). The cheese board options were plentiful and delicious and filling to pair with the wine and mead. It was extremely accommodating that they served other beverages to one of our group that did not like wine - I know... but they had bourbon and gin! ;) Just above and beyond! Atmosphere is sexy - cool, dim light atmosphere, very comfortable and clean bathrooms. Great for group or date.”

“This is one of my all time favorite hotels now. The location is perfect - next to shops and restaurants and gorgeous antique buildings that have been beautifully maintained. The staff is super friendly and it’s the perfect location if you have your dog with you. Plenty of grassy areas with sidewalks and the neighborhood the hotel is in is full of friendly dogs and dog owners. This is a dogs dream vacation location. (Also of note the rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable :)”

“I am a Rock N’ Roll fan, as well as I love trying new restaurants. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley from the rock band KISS are co-owners, so I decided to try this restaurant. I was very impressed with the barbecued ribs as both my son and I ordered them and the were tender and seasoned perfectly with great tasting BBQ sauce. The cheeseburger eggroll appetizer was awesome. Our server Ann went above and beyond to make sure we had a nice experience, and she was extremely pleasant. Great Server! Make sure you ask for her! Ann even took some pictures of my son and I throughout the restaurant. I would recommend giving this place a try. It was a fun atmosphere, and lots of different beers on tap too. Overall, it was a great experience, and the staff really did go out of their way to make sure we had a nice time.”

“This place is a good value. I don't think you're getting the best food in Potawatomi but it's pretty good. I got the spicy short rib taco and it had a weird tortilla. It was thick and foam like. The app allows you to choose the tortilla for everything else but not that one. The Shwarma taco with pita tortilla was good and the beef brisket was good. The tater tots were pretty good. Three tacos and tots were $18 bucks.”

“My fish was sooooo good I saw a picture of the fish and wanted to try out the batter ….I was not disappointed. The prices are reasonable and I had enough to save for late one fish fillet was filling . I didn’t care for the fries but if you like JJ fries then you would love them. I definitely will be going again especially since they are on DoorDash as well.”
