The Pines

We vacation every year at a nearby campground and have stopped at this location in the past. We were going to skip this year based on our past experiences, but then noticed the name change. We did a brief stop to check it and it it looked wonderful. A couple days later we went their for diner and everything was great. We were happy to see Linda was working. She is always so nice and loved seeing here again this year. The food was excellent and love the decor changes that have been made. We look forward to eating here again next year.

What can I say about this hidden gem?! It was a fantastic surprise to my wife and I to have come across! We had pulled off the freeway while heading to the twin cities and decided to try a local place for lunch. We were intending to go to a different restaurant but decided to give this one a go!

The food was delicious and completely unexpected! I was thinking that it would be burgers (which they have) but I was blow away by seeing the lobster ravioli on the menu! It was on par with anything i have had in Milwaukee. It even came with an all you can eat salad bar. It was simple but thats all you need.

The waitress was kind and informed on the menu. She made sure we know what came with the meal and was quick with our drinks.

The location was stylish on the inside, but the facade of the outside of the building could use some more decoration or something to grab attention of the driver that it deserves!

Favorite place in Wisconsin. Owners care about their customers and their experience. The entire staff enjoy what they do and it shows. This is my “Cheers” with amazing food. Highly recommended if your passing through or staying with a large group.

Prices were high compared to other places in the area. Salad bar was fresh but very limited selections. Pasta was $23 but I would enjoy the same thing at Olive Garden for $15. Kids Mac and cheese is Kraft (why do restaurants take the easy way out with this?) but costs at the same as 4 boxes at the store. Service was average.

We had a great experience. Linda was super kind to the kids. The beer was cold and the food was great. If you're in the area it's definitely worth a stop. For being open for 11 days....great job.
