I have stayed here multiple times and had positive experiences. You receive a ton of value for your money, and the area is BEAUTIFUL. This is carved into a very small town, and unlike many waterpark resorts, you can easily go for a long walk down a dirt road at dusk. It's a true vacation, not just a place in the city to hide from what is outside.
Their policies are respectful and fair, and they are in a good county for freedom concerns (Monroe County). Response to inquiries at their general email could definitely be quicker (inconvenient for folks like me who aren't able to be on the phone at standard times), but nobody is perfect.
Very limited tubes, most were leaking. By the end no double tubes left and only 3 single tubes very strange. Restaurant had poor food claim half pound burger but we're not. Only a small amount of fries. Chili was great. Place had very nice decor. Best hotel beds I have ever experienced. Had dried blood on blanket and room could be a little cleaner. Everyone had a great time and was priced right for our stay.
Absolutely loved this place! Its been about 10 years since my last visit (also an awesome trip) and I was impressed once again. I loved that they closed down the water park (not easy) at different times to clean and sanitize. My family and I will definitely be returning!!
Little kid friendly(10 and under). Rooms not worth the price. Restaurant service is slow.
Our 8, 4 and 18 month old couldn’t have been happier with their waterpark weekend! We had 7 guests, so we chose to stay in one of the villas. Aside from the fact that is, clearly, a rental unit in need of some TLC, it fit the 4 adults and 4 kids with room to spare. It was nice having a porch and picnic table to enjoy lunch outside. Our weather was beautiful. The lifeguards are fantastic. Our 4 year old was scared at the bottom of some waterslides, and the lifeguards got into the outdoor poop to catch him- he loved it. Our kids also enjoyed the arcade and laser maze.
This isn’t a 5 star resort, but for a 2 night stay, it was wonderful. If you are able to get the villas for a decent rate, I would suggest them. Bring your own kitchen goodies- like a cookie sheet, extra forks, paper plates, etc. we didn’t have a toaster. We did have a coffee pot!
We might venture to the dells the next time, just to give the kids a change of scenery, but I wouldn’t pass up 3 bears (in the summer) if you’re thinking of a getaway
