The Black Bear Restaurant in Appleton is a great place to get a good meal and everything is very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff. I actually lost my wallet the other night. The next morning when I realized it and called the restaurant and asked if it had been turned in. The manager said that it was dropped off at my house and told me where they had put it. This was something totally unexpected and very much appreciated! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice “home cooked meal” and excellent service.

Service, food, prices all good. Staff very friendly. Will definitely be going again. If good service continues it could easily be 5 stars.

Black Bear is always a delight. Servers are so sweet. Always have time to talk to you. The food is so good. The prices are so good too. I had broasted chicken with French fries and soup with other stuff like coffee and sundae. 22.00 for 2 of us. Sure can't beat that for the 4 pieces of chicken I had. I saved the biggest piece to take home to make 2 more meals! My friend had 2 piece chicken and hot chocolate with hers. We went night before Christmas Eve.

We went to Black Bear for the first time last night and I was fairly pleased with the experience. The food was decent and very fairly priced. The service was phenomenal! Guillermo was an incredible server and presented himself in a professional and respectable manner, many props to him for making our first experience a great one! Only cons I would make is that the inside of the restaurant was quite dirty overall and the setup was not very fluid.

For just opening i felt things went pretty well.
Food came out very fast and was delicious.
I got 3 blueberry pancakes. My friends got the breakfast sandwich and French toast. I feel we were all happy. This is a new restaurant let them work out the glitches and please be patient. Every restaurant is understaffed. Be kind.
