Little Diner Xpress

I normally love the food and adore the service here. There was one incident that I just cannot forget: Me, and two other friends got sick from their food, about 36 hours after eating it. It was the only common factor, and it definitely was food poisoning. Now, this is the only time this had happened, and this isn’t directly why I’m rating only 3 stars. The main reason for 3 stars is when I called the diner and explained what had happened. I wasn’t trying to get free food, or even report them. I specifically told them I was just bringing it to their attention. They kept treating me as if I wanted free food. I tried to reword it many times, but it was like talking to a brick wall. I received a $10 gift card, but because of the blatant rudeness, I still have not gone back since then. There’s something about being treated like a snake for just trying to warn them of ill food that I cannot forgive. This was some time ago, so maybe management has changed...eat at your own risk.

The food was excellent. Reminded me of George Webb but with a bit more food on the plate. Happy to go again.

Remy is amazing and deserves a raise for all he does for this restaurant. Hope the owner reads this and sees the value he adds, not to mention the profits. We come in almost everyday for breakfast and when it gets to busy, not only does he cook, but comes out and gets us drinks and takes our order.

The staff in general is great as is the food.

I had to give a 3. If I was rating morning service, I would give 5 stars. Waitress staff are friendly and food is great. If I were to rate evening, I would give a NEGATIVE 10. I went in and sat at the counter. Waiter passed me several times. I got my own menu. Waited 10 minutes. No acknowledgement. Another couple came in, they got menu s and asked what they wanted to drink. I walked out. There was another couple sitting on the side too that wasn't waited on either.

I had the florentine sandwich which was awesome. Service is good. I wish they would not allow business meetings tho I don't know how you would stop it. I don't want to hear a sales pitch when I eat from other customers talking too loud. This place is small and cozy. Really a nice atmosphere for breakfast.
