She was awesome, just wanted to chat with her for hours even though i have been traveling for more then 16 hours she was great wonderful bubbly personality. Awesome awesome, resort its gorgeous!! A little creepy being the only one in the entire place and not even staff was on campus but over all GREAT JOB!”

“This place has so much potential and could be 5 stars with a few tweaks. It has an eclectic assortment of antiques, old school slush puppy machine, hand scooped ice cream, full bar and freshmade pizza. There is free pool and a pinball machine. Video poker and Bonus Hole also await (obviously at a cost). The bartender/server was friendly. There are a few tap beers, including craft beer. There's plenty of free parking and easy in/out of the parking lot. Now for the areas of improvement: There is limited seating. The seating that is available is not family friendly. The atmosphere is defined more by a somber bar than by a restaurant. There was no music playing (although there is a touch tunes machine available). Prices for ice cream were high ($5 for a single scoop, $7 for a double). Pizza was good, but toppings were somewhat sparse. Overall, I will go back again to see if things change for the better.”

“YOU WANT TO GO HERE! Hands down the best restaurant in this area. The old school diner dinner atmosphere is unbeatable. The staff were incredibly friendly and made you feel right at home. The menu has a great selection and you can't argue with the prices. Food portions are HUGE! We had burgers today. They are 1/2 pounders, juicy, and full of flavor!! The inside was extremely clean which is a huge plus in my book. One of the best parts is that the owner came over to chat and ask how we liked everything and if we needed anything else. Not something you see happening these days!! We will definitely be back.”

“Very nice, clean, friendly staff, great food, fair prices.The soup & salad bar with warm rolls was a nice compliment to the all you can eat fish. One of our party of 6 enjoyed a sirloin steak instead(very good). Many of us had the yummy seasoned baby reds. It was quite busy when we got there, but staff found us a table with only a 15 minute wait. When I'm in the area I'll be back. Very enjoyable dining experience!”

“Went there for the first time at the suggestion of a friend. Two of us had the ground beef taco salad and two had the turkey. The ingredients were fresh and tasty, hot sauce was hot for sure. It lacked guacamole but I am not in TX anymore and it probably would have cost $2 more if it did. The shell was fresh and tasty as well. We were filled up when done with the salad so we didn’t try the ice cream. Next time we go for dessert! The woman who took our order and served us was very friendly and helpful, big welcoming smile on her face. It was hard to choose what to have because there were so many interesting things to order from. I enjoyed the taco salad so much I know I will have to force myself to order something else. Prices were comparable to other restaurants in town. We sat outside in the screened section and there was a delightful breeze blowing through it. I enjoyed the whole experience and will be going back soon.”

“We were greeted as we walked in for the first time by some of the friendliest people. :) They informed us they would be closing for the day and that we are more than welcome to sit down and don't feel rushed. It was a very nice atmosphere. The tables and Floors were clean and reset for new customers. The wait staff was very knowledgeable of the menu items. We placed our orders and the food came out piping hot in a very timely manner. The quantity and quality was also awesome. We were told they have homemade pies baked every day. The only thing I did not like was they did not have Coke on tap. May have had it in cans? Important for Coke people. The bathrooms for very clean. This is also a ATV and snowmobile friendly spot to Dine. Would come back again. There is parking in the back of the restaurant.”

“Stopped on the way to UP Michigan. I had a 1/2 lb burger with browns. The burger was med rare how I ordered it. The bun was homemade. Browns were decent but too thin. There was nothing else with it. No pickles. No nothing. Daughter had taco salad. It was pretty good. Service was pretty good. In the end, the food was decent but nothing to write home about. The prices were about a buck too high per plate relative to quality and portion size.”
