“Loved this place. Great quality great prices great service. We were bike touring in the area and only expected your usual franchised eateries. Then we landed on the Fat Olive. The food was good and honest great quality and they truly looked after us. Book on the weekend as it gets busy. I see some reviews say you have to wait but worth it. We were lucky as it was midweek and lunch. I would happily go on the weekend and wait as it was truly worth it... And that's what weekend's are for..totally recommend this place.”

“Sandwich was fantastic, however the service wasn't great. I didn't see a worker for the 20 minutes I was in there, so I couldn't get a dessert item once I finished. The only reason they would come out of the back was if the door dinged. Based on local's I doubt this is standard practice, but it made my first visit rather UN-enjoyable. I may go back and hope for better, but as of right now I am not particularly impressed.”

“Like many young families, we've been to lots of maple tours and festivals. This is by far the best one we've ever visited. Run by a service club, the admission rates are incredible ($8 for our family, cash only). The sugar bush itself is beautifully maintained. There are lots of volunteers explaining things, and working displays of the various ways maple syrup was made over the ages. This culminates in a modern sugar shack which uses reverse osmosis, where we got one of the best and most interesting explanations I've ever heard on the topic. There's also a pancake pavilion with good pancakes for great prices ($3.50 for two, just last week I had to pay $12 for two pancakes at a conservation area). All in all, this place is an absolute gem and we will be coming back for sure. A big thanks to the local Kinsmen club for running this operation!”
