Great time at bar Lupulus! Friendly welcomed by an attentive hostess. Adam you are great bartender and thanks for the great service. Tasty tartar(not your traditional, which is nice for a change and love the cedar element) and a delicious shrimp salad, great balance in flavours. Compliments to the chef and kitchen staff.
Ok so I went for a walk on a Monday late afternoon for a beer and found Lupulus. To find a pleasant atmosphere and bartender this time of day was comforting and kudos to Lupulus. I am by no means a specialist beer drinker and made mention of this fact. Still the bartender (Adam in this case) was happy to advise and chat giving me information that was relevant and made me feel that I was welcome.
By 18:00 there were already more people, seems to be popular.
Thank you, I will be back. Adam you were great and thanks to the staff member that offered to close the door as there was a cold breeze invading my space.

Great food, amazing service. They seamlessly accommodated my reservation of 16 (that grew to 20 on the day of) for my wife's birthday, and the server somehow managed to keep up with us, despite our group moving around to talk to each other. I wish I could give more than five stars.
I absolutely love this spot. Whenever I have the chance to do a lunch meeting I'm here like white on rice. There are so many nice things to say about the this place...the food, atmosphere, ambience, amazing staff, and overall dining experience. Top notch all around.
It definitely has got a rustic & classy vibe to it. Reminds me of the roaring 20s. If you haven't been you gotta go. This place is a gem. Beware of the fries, they're dusted with crack and highly addictive.
Probably the best spot in Ottawa for beer, with twenty locals and foreign taps plus an extensive bottle selection, and they have stepped up their food game recently as their atelier trained chef explores molecular gastronomy and fermentation. Great value at lunch, typical prices at dinner, great cocktails and drink selection, and delicious small menu. Would always have the fries at lunch and tartar at dinner, worth a visit for sure.
