Applebee's Grill + Bar

We had the opportunity to visit Applebee's this trip at Niagara and experience the only Applebee's to serve breakfast. The location was a good spot as it was right next to our hotel. There is parking. Which was an added advantage, considering you have to pay for parking every where in Niagara. The ambiance was good inside as well the positivity of the servers from the time we were sat down was really good .

Coming down to food. Which was highly questionable. The options for vegans and vegetarians were very slim. Drink options were also very slim and not very descriptive. For adding sides we did not have options either.

Food when it was served did not feel to be hot other than it being put in a warmer . Potatoes were really good. But after that everything was down the hill. Pancakes were sour to be called buttermilk flavoured. We had to use up more syrup than usual to over come the sourness.

French toast was cold too. Bacon strips were cold as well. Toast was not hot. Tea did not taste well, seems like the pot was on for a while. Hot chocolate was decent but would not to the standards of Applebee's.

In short - the place might be a good spot for lunch / dinner. But would not be a good spot for breakfast.

Though it's cheaper than other close by spots. But I guess they might do justice to what you are paying for.

I dined here several times during my 4 day visit to Niagara Falls. 3 breakfasts and a dinner, couldn't fault it. The service, food and people were excellent. Try the kitchen sink breakfast, if you're hungry enough. I couldn't quite manage all 3 pancakes, but I tried. I didn't need anything else to eat until dinner time. I will certainly go again when I am back there.

Food is what you would expect at any Applebee's, except the Canadian hospitality is better. Mitch took very good care of our party of 8 (w/4 kids 5-8). However, like everything else in Niagara Falls, it was 25% over priced. But if you are there, you have to eat somewhere, so at Applebee's at least you know what you will get.
