We were there on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019.
We had a reservation for 9:15 p.m. and ended up sitting at a table about 10:00.
The place was so busy, it was crazy and very loud. We had a window table with a view of the American Falls and the food was good ! They have fireworks on the weekends which we did not know before.
I guess the loudness of the place can be forgotten when you get yourself a table facing the Falls. The servers were very friendly, nice and accommodating !!
Great job !!
We made a reservation and were given a buzzer when we got there. The buzzer never went off so we were sent on a wild goose chase to find someone to figure out what they wanted to do. Finally got a table 40-45 minutes after getting there and having a reservation. Our waiter was great, very thorough, sweet, and quick. We got our mains and didn’t have steak knifes. We didn’t se our waiter, so we asked another employee to bring us some, however, she walked by us for several minutes and never brought them. We resorted to asking for a manager. She was fantastic and had our food remade as it was ice cold by time we got knives. All of these seem like one off occurrences and they more than fixed the problem. We will be back in the future
Great spot for a nice dinner out! We weren’t next to the window, but the view was still different. You so pay a bit of a premium on standard Keg prices but it definitely feels like a more premium restaurant experience.
Food was excellent, steak was cooked perfectly and my twice baked potato was delicious. My husband had the special with the crab and the béarnaise sauce. He couldn’t stop raving about it!
The service was attentive, friendly and fast. They even accommodated my dietary issues with our free dessert (it’s our first anniversary). Also, the gin basil lemonade is excellent; fresh and not too sweet!
Went in open minded knowing that it would be an overpriced tourist trap.
Thankfully the food made us forget it until the bill came.
My Fillet Mignon was very good. Well cooked with a wonderful seasoning. My wife loved her steak and lobster as well. Window table with a good view also helped.
Would I go back and pay what we paid for food & wine, No way, despite enjoying it
Didn’t make a reservation on a Thursday evening and luckily didn’t need one. The ambience is what you’d expect for a location within a hotel that also serves as the breakfast buffet site-simply styled and some tables clearly have taken a beating, but solid otherwise. The views of Horseshoe Falls are fantastic, even if you’re not seated right at a window. Service was fine, not up to par with other high end steak houses, but not bad either. Steaks were all well-prepared. We didn’t have the issues when them being overcooked or chewy as others have noted. They did not quite have the tenderness or flavor one would expect for such a premium price, but again, nothing bad. Decent wine list to go along with everything. For the convenience and view it’s great. However, at this price point one would expect world class service, presentation, and quality. Unfortunately, this location “falls” (bonus pun!!) a bit short.
