“As a couple who are board game fanatics who have been to many board game cafes across southern Ontario, mugs n meeples is our all time favorite board game cafe. The owner is always super friendly and helpful, always suggesting new games and helping explain them, he is very passionate and knowable about the games. The food is all handmade and amazing, I swear he went to culinary school. The location is in a quiet area and always easy to find parking, the interior and atmosphere is always inviting with cool local art work. For these and many other reasons we are regulars on a Saturday night during University. Thanks for expanding our library of board games to play.”

“Waiting time for ordering was at least 8 minutes and there was no one in front of me then it took another 10 minutes to receive my food very unpleased with the way that went. Maybe hire more people just a thought... but besides that staff was friendly and got my order right. The only reason I took off 2 stars is because of how the process of the ordering and getting my food went , besides that very good service clean restaurant. If I can just add one last thing maybe turn the AC on and if it is on maybe turn it up?! I say this because every time I go eat at this location or order take out it's like a sauna in there its already very hot out would be nice to come to a refreshing cool restaurant. Thank you!”

“Last year, we stopped in this location for breakfast on our way to Hagersville. Upon arrival in Hagersville, I reached for my purse and it was not by my feet in the car. I had forgotten it on the chair at McDonald's with over $300 cash in it. I immediately called them where they assured me it was safe in their staff office. We returned to fetch it and much to my delight, every cent was in it!!! What an exemplary display of honesty in their staff!!!”

“We visited later in the morning. Most of the tables were vacant but unusable because they hadn't been cleared. We ordered 2 of the classic breakfast with one half waffle side with syrup. The menu said the meal came with bacon or sausage, so we asked if they were sausage patties or links. One of us said I think I'll have bacon then and we were told it only comes with bacon. When the food was served the toast was dry and no butter or jam was included. The waffle was served without the syrup which we had to go to the counter and get. The waffle was good, slightly crispy on the outside but still fluffy inside. The scrambled eggs (they only way they were offered) were bland but cooked properly and were probably the premixed variety that are poured from a milk type carton. The 2 strips of bacon were dripping with grease. The potatoes were good and well seasoned.”
