“Excellent ! I love the space. I didn't order the fried chicken but my husband did. My only regret is not asking the chef for a recipe. It was melt in your mouth to die for. I had the wedge salad, the dill dressing was creamy and obviously home made - the perfect balance against the crisp lettuce. Mushroom soup was excellent as well - soup of the day yesterday. Nice pieces of mushroom and not over creamy as soups of this nature can be. I tasted mushroom not cream. Great job !! Kudos to the chef.”

“When I went to this establishment a year ago the service was not good. No beating around the bush. I went today again after that year and the restaurant had a complete 180 turn. The service was fast, food was good, staff was friendly, and everything! They apologized for the wait even though we had only waited 5 mins very tops. I’m glad to see the store thriving!”

“We were going to the symphony this evening, so we like to go out for dinner to a nice restaurant as we are dressed up. The food at Jake and Humphries is pricey but excellent. All with a different twist. For example basil ice cream on a rhubarb crisp. It was wonderful. Great evening. ????”

“This restaurant is the only Chinese food left in New Hamburg. It is take out and cash only. The food is phenomenal! Everything is prepared fresh, and they use local quality ingredients. The menu has a huge selection, with very well priced lunch and dinner combo specials. The portions are huge, a dinner for 1 will feed 2 people with leftovers. The place is small, and you can watch the food being prepared. If you want Chinese take out, this is the place to go.”

“I loved everything about MeMe’s cafe. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous! I had the bagel with smoked salmon and it had the perfect cream cheese to smoked salmon ratio. My partner had the tuna and he loved it. The bread was fresh and fluffy. The atmosphere was fresh and light. The art work and fresh flowers on the tables were a nice touch. I can’t wait to come back again!”

“Good little familly restaurant. This restaurant has been around for a while and is a fixture in downtown New Hamburg. They specialize in breakfast. Dinners are also excellent. Souvlaki is their dinner specialty, but their fish and chips are excellent. The place is bright and clean. The service is friendly and efficient. There is a lot of competition in this small town, and the fact they have survived for so long is testament to their quality.”

It was a great gesture and much appreciated*** we placed an order for delivery at 9:40pm not realizing that the shop closed at 10. No one called to tell me that my order wouldn't be delivered or explain that they closed soon, just left me waiting for an hour before I realized they closed. There was 20 minutes in which my order was just ignored.”
