“Delicious food. Really really tasty. Choice can be very overwhelming though. Service was decidedly lacking. Was with someone else and they finished their salad before mine even came. I actually had to go to the counter to hunt down my order. Was very disappointed in that. They are crazy busy but seemingly disorganized despite the large number of people working in the prep areas. Could use an "overseer" type of person working there.”

The owner told her to bring back the wrong order, then can do refund or redo the order. Even the girl is so impolite, the owner gently to talk to this girl. I admire this shopkeeper. “This is a lovely restaurant with very nice views in a gorgeous building. Food is very good (we both had pasta and were quite impressed.) The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Had a misunderstanding concerning our bill and the staff refused to let us leave without making it right (despite my insistence that no refund was necessary,) in the end they compensated us with some of the fine products they have for sale.”

“New owner is wonderful, respectful and truly kind from the bottom of his heart. The restaurant was full and we had to wait a little, for the trouble he offered us free coffee. The food was insanely good, it definitely makes it on my top 5 list of restaurants in Montreal. The environment and decor is cozy and well designed. Of course it would not be fair to compare it to a restaurant where I pay 100-150 $ / dish, therefore I can not give 5 stars either. The place is old and not renovated, but I come here for the food : Not for the service, not for the decoration. The taste is really good and authentic. Highly recommended if you like spicy Bangladeshi / Indian food. Owner is here most of the time which is great. It shows the passion that goes into the restaurant. Try it and most probably won't regret it. Being in a very quiet area...the schedule is weird...so is only good for lunch. Like they open at 11am and closes by 2.30 pm. Or 3 ...! Really cheap eats !”
