Frothy Monkey

I had the avocado toast and added eggs to it. The food was pretty good, the coffee- amazing. Obsessed with the seasonal, “like butta” coffee. The Havana and the rosemary honey lattes are delicious as well. The only thing I didn’t love was the chocolate croissant, it didn’t taste like it was fresh, and there wasn’t much filling in it.

I had the farm breakfast and turtle latte. Food was decent, but needed some salt. The service was okay, not exceptional. The latte was good, but temp wasn't as warm as I would have liked when I received it. I'd go back and give them a second try. I like that they have a unique variety of beverages, and the French toast looked like it would be really tasty.

We do generally love this place.. been here 5-6 times over the summer now. Wait time can be an issue, but this visit just fell short. The service is always super helpful and accommodating. It was the meal that fell short for the second time in a row. Ordered a very boiler plate Farmer’s breakfast. I was loving the smoked gouda grits, but the grits were again runny and not that appealing. The bacon was overcooked, and I learned that I am not a big fan of the thinly sliced sourdough toast. (It’s only one slice cut in half to begin with). The eggs were fine, and I do love their signature hot sauce. My wife’s Eggs Benedict was “just ok”, so a disappointing visit since this is back to back lackluster experience. We’ll be back, we may just explore a few other options before we do.

All types of coffees and even with or without liquor. I ordered that sandwich and it was amazing what I actually meant for them to do but I did not tell them so that was my fault was to replace the ham with the salmon but the sandwich was awesome I sat at the bar because it was just myself and the waitress at the bar was amazing!! Everyone was very nice and the server was very knowledgeable about things that I asked about and if she didn't know she went and found out so I love that part pricing is reasonable for one person unless you got greedy like me I ordered one of their hot coffees just to try it that was the one with the cute little design on it and then I tried one with spirits in it and it was amazing!!! So go try something different people!! 💜

Cute coffee shop in downtown Birmingham. Serving fancy lattes and other caffeinated (and non) beverages. Delicious pastries, bagels and other breakfast goodies. Nice atmosphere, friendly service. Better than the coffee at your hotel- I can guarantee that.
