It was a very good experience, much in line with what we expected from the original Shrimp Basket down at the Gulf. Good food, good portions, fast service and that laid back feel. “They were quite busy around noon when I visited, and were fairly prompt on drink and food orders. I had beef lo mein. The noodles were thin with a moderate amount of sauce, which I prefer over very saucy noodles, and came out hot. All of our meals came out very hot, which was good. We went there and found a little clean restaurant. The staff was really friendly and we placed our order very quick. Food was great and came quick. We gonna come back!”

“I usually hate Chinese Food and haven't eaten it in about a decade. But my mom brought this over to my new house to give me sustenance as I was moving in. I went ahead and ate it, so as not to be rude, and I was Not disappointed. It was wonderful and tasted clean and I didn't have a whole bunch of chemicals in it Or like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for 6 hours like Chinese food usually does. It was super yummy and I actually went back the next night by myself. The Mandarin Mongolian beef I highly recommend as well was the egg rolls. I have tried about for other things as well and they were all good but I just don't remember the names of them right now. But I highly recommend this place. it is very clean, the people are nice, Even when they are busy they are extremely fast and efficient, The food is wonderful, and There are no chemicals like MSG in the food.”

“I go to steel city pops every single time I visit Birmingham, sometimes making multiple trips. I absolutely LOVE the chocolate peanut butter pop, unfortunately they do not carry it often. Pretty much every time I go I like to try a new pop, and they will replace it for free if you do not like it. Only thing is they are on the expensive side. I highly recommend!”

“I slept on this place last time I came to AL. I didn't try them as I thought they were going to be hard instead of soft and chewy. I was so wrong. These cookies are amazing!! I tried chocolate chip, nutella stuffed chocolate chip, and peanut butter. All were to die for. The choc chip was a little salty for my preference. The peanut butter was amazing!! The lady behind the counter was so helpful and sweet. They also sell the cookie dough by the pack so you can make your cookies at home”

“Great food, portions are good but not huge. My favorite is the chicken salad and fruit plate. They have a wide variety of fruits which is better than expected. Very small space and you are very close to other diners. Parking was easy as they had a parking lot attendant. The rest of the area has very limited parking especially during the holiday shopping season.”

They have tons to choose from so it’s hard to decide so choose wisely. Or you can pick their signature bowls if you can’t decide. Pretty good overall. “My first visit to this chain. We loved the food. The smoothies were great. They kindly let us make modifications. Tried some of the “shots” - they’re a nice way to boost health while eating breakfast or lunch. I won’t promise they all taste amazing but they are concentrated and easy to drink quickly. The “Pain Reliever” is my favorite for the turmeric and ginger. Vegan wrap is great (without the onion). The hummus is tasty. My friend liked the poke bowl also. Great experience with staff as well.”
