“Asked for recommendations from the kind young lady at the window. Got steak torta (left) and 3 tacos (right, 1 each steak, pork and steak/chorizo combo). Tried each of the 3 salsas, and loved them all. Standard red salsa was bright and spicy, Verde was nice and tangy, and the bright green (I think it was guacamole salsa) was a little creamier and more subtle. I ate it all, with a lot of salsa. It was excellent ? Would definitely recommend pork or Chorizo, not because the steak was lacking, but because the marinated pork was so good and Chorizo is a personal favorite. $17 for all in the picture. Most famous for their fried green tomatoes, but those are not close to the best thing on the cafeteria line. It is always fun to seat and watch the trains come by, too. “We have had our eye on this mom and pop for awhile. We mostly hit us the long time favorite near by. “Gus’s”. We finally decided to take the gamble and give it a try. I will say it’s family owned by very nice folks who are very attentive. The pizza is decent. We were a little disappointed in the salad. Made with taco lettuce. It you need a quite bite in the area and would like to support the local flavor. Stop in and give it a try for yourself. Prices seemed a touch high. But understanding they are trying to keep open in a pretty low traffic area.”
