The place: This place is a really small joint located close to WalMart off of Sutton and Governers in Owens Cross Roads, AL. You pull in the gravel parking lot and then walk into the small building to the smell of good BBQ. The menu on the wall is easy to read and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the RIB PLATE for $9.99 from the owner, James. The food: The food came out in a nice plate but a good helpings worth because I eat a lot. The ribs were delicious and meaty and they were not slathered in sauce like other places do to cover up sub-par meat. The sides were tasty (Potato Salad, Baked Beans and Rolls) and the Iced Tea was excellent. I judge a lot of places from their Iced Tea. If their tea is not fresh, most likely I like to think that their food is not either. But the plate was excellent and I had no problem finishing it. Overall: I will definitely be back to try their other menu items. Recommendation: Rib Plate for now! It was really good.”

“I am more of a chicken nugget kinda guy, but every now and then I’ll branch out and try something different. My Tempura was amazing and the atmosphere was fancy and relaxing. Maya/Mia was our server and was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered what she suggested and she came back often to check on us. A bright, energetic smile can change a good experience to a great one. Be sure to reward good waiters and waitresses with tips; they make the world a little less miserable.”

“Not a bad experience. The storefront is still sporting the mid 90s to early 2000s look with the pastel pink, green, purple, and yellow colors. The service was friendly, the food was hot and fresh, and the portions of ingredients were a bit more generous than most of the TB chains offer. This location has a small kitchen so the wait can be a bit absurd during peak hours, but not the worst I've experienced. I'll be back sometime!”
