“I used the self checkout kiosk... As an advocate for an increase in the minimum wage, but also the father of a hungry child whose main food group is the McNugget I was torn, but in a hurry. There is a reason that the self-checkout had no line... It requires an comfortable level of tech knowledge + an understanding of a multi-layered food service menu hierarchy. Took me 3+ minutes to order what I could have told a cashier in 20 seconds and I am an engineer.”

“Just ate here with our kids and everything about the place was wonderful. We pretty much ordered half the menu and we had zero complaints. The fish tastes soooo fresh. The owner was very friendly, making rounds and checking on everything. Our waitress was beautiful and so very sweet. They brought out a complimentary appetizer of homemade hush puppies right away, which were amazing. And our food came out not long after. Our drinks stayed filled. Service and food was great. The place is cute and quaint. Really enjoyed our time here and will be back!!”

“I was confused because the sign outside says Aztecas but the menus have EL Campesino on them. The food I ordered was very good and fresh tasting. The food my friend ordered came out barely warm but he inhaled it so it must have been good. The thin chips were warm and not at all oily, the salsa was good and had a bit of a kick to it. No bird poop guacamole here which is a sign of a good Mexican restaurant imo. The customer service was good and so were the prices. The bathroom was cramped, but well stocked with needed items. Yeah, I'll be back.”

Mention it to one of the employees when asked and they looked at me like I must be joking, I was not. “This is an excellent place to eat! Probably the best kept secret in St. Clair county. It's one of those hole in the wall mom and pop joints that has the best home cooked food around. Even though the food is cooked to order, the service is still very quick. I've never been disappointed eating here. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very large. A meat and 3 sides is enough to feed 2 people. Highly recommended.”
