“This place is a real treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. The ice cream is incredibly delicious, with a vast variety of flavors to choose from. What truly set my experience apart was the outstanding service, especially from Cuinten, who helped me find the perfect flavor with a smile. Friendly staff and top-notch ice cream make Bruster's a must-visit!”

“The service is good! No kwams about that. The ice cream though is underwhelming. I think that Bruster's is in a comfortable spot, but their product is not consistently good though you pay specialty prices. I have visited this same establishment enough to know. From this point, we are starting to back off. On the flip side we have found top-tier ice cream at great prices.”

“I stopped in today to get a dozen doughnuts. Let me tell you, they are so good. I got some of the longjohns and got them filled. They were really filled( most places have just a little bit of filling in them), but these were perfect. The taste takes me back to when I was a young child and I got this treat with my dad. The owner was so sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back.”

“Wasn't what I expected and they don't have lemon filled donuts and that's what I was looking forward to getting and I order fresh vanilla cappuccino and they spilled it and took forever making me another one and honestly I rather have one from MAPCO theirs are way better but they have plenty of employees and they are nice and the place was clean.”

“They were AMAZING. A nice little niche desert spot with very friendly staff. I'm usually incredibly nervous when I enter a store and all of the employees are teenagers - but everyone was incredibly polite and even made sure we were enjoying our food as we ate. My mom got a cookie sandwich, I got the sundae option. Over 20+ toppings and a whole lot of different options to choose from, a build-your-own style menu. The person helping us even informed us of small details we may/may not like (like the chocolate ice cream having both white and milk chocolate in it), which was incredibly nice. We spent about $27 for a cookie sandwich, an ice cream sundae, and two drinks. Pretty cheap for a specialty desert store. The portions are LARGE no matter what you get, so unless you're going on an empty stomach like we did, I would share. Overall loved it, can't wait to come back when I visit.”

“Just couldn't do another chain restaurant on our trip. This place does have local charm and pleasant staff. We arrived about 930, so the grill might have been off...if true, then that's why breakfast took a really long time to arrive. I was assuming the food should have been extra hot then right? No... but done correctly and very tasty. Styrofoam plates and plastic utensils take away from what could be a cute place. Overall good fare, but needs fine tuning. Show less”

“My trip to Marble Slab was a family trip that almost cause me to melt my ice cream. When we entered, there were about 4 or young ladies behind the counter but only 2 was really working. 2 of the young ladies were talking and after seeing my children come in, they look at each other and one acted like she was cleaning and the other went to the back like she was looking for something. I was immediately upset and if I had not had my children with me, I would have walked out. However, there is a happy ending, one of the ladies who was working must have noticed and greeted us and said, with a smile, I’ll take care of you. She was really pleasant and filled our orders and put smiles on my babies faces. I wish I would have got her name so that she could be recognized. I hope she got the tip I left and it wasn’t split.”

“They used to bring their cakes into work all the time at the Regions Operational Center and it was very good. Since I needed something sweet for my wife's birthday we stopped by Edgar's in Hoover. She had never been in Edgar's before and now upset with me for not bringing her in here sooner! She found two cupcakes with butter cream frosting and we got a cinnamon roll which was delicious. They also had orange roll samples at the cash register which my wive was raving about. I didn't realize they had breakfast and lunch selections along with a kid's menu. We will definitely be back to try something from their breakfast or lunch menu in the near future.”

“I had such a wonderful dining experience in this nice establishment for lunch today .. I took my off day and decided to explore the new shops downtown( I know, I’m late, it was past time) . From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles and hellos!! The menu choices were great, I went with the bagel sandwich with turkey chips and let me tell you about the prickly pear lemonade that was suggested by one of the employees 😍😍 it was so dang good!! The ambiance was something I haven’t experienced in a while the books on the walls and the creeks from the floor man I loved it !! I will definitely be back !! Thank you all for the hospitality!!”

“I got the glazed original and blueberry donuts, the cheddar and jalapeño kolache, and the bacon egg and cheese croissant. All were fresh and delicious and the original glazed donuts had a nice light texture to them. Would definitely go here again!”

“This place is awesome! Stopped in there for a car show fully prepared to pay to feed the family and unbeknownst to me, they were giving food free to all of the attendees. The owner came around and talked to everyone and was so nice. The staff was fantastic as well. Love everything about this place. This place has a quality that you just don’t find anywhere these days. If you love the small town friendly atmosphere and great food then I highly recommend a visit to this place. I think you’ll love it. It was a little like walking back in time. You seriously don’t see gems like this much these days. Thank you guys for a great time and the meal!”

“The food here is always amazing. We've ordered the cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, and pecan rolls and they're all delicious and moist with plenty of icing. We also enjoyed the chicken salad sandwiches with fruit on a lunch outing. We've never had to wait very long for food to be served. The whole interior and exterior of the restaurant is clean, organized, and easy to maneuver. On a couple of occasions, we had to go ask them for extras like silverware and straws and it can be hard to get their attention on a busy day due to being short-staffed. However, I understand this. Most restaurants are short-staffed right now. They should consider putting silverware and straws out on a table over by the drinks so that customers don't have to ask for this.”

“Best donut place in town. Worth the calories and the cost! Lots of different flavors to try and they are twice the size of your chain donuts. Chocolate covered croissant and turtle flavors were the favorites”

“Okay, so WOW. Came in on a Saturday night when things were busy (as they should be—this is one of the best restaurants in town). Our food was great (as usual). Our cocktails were crafted perfectly—loved them! But what REALLY made this a 5 star experience was the service. Kacy, our waitress, was an absolute legend. She was so helpful and attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu and the cocktails, and even noticed when we were trying to get a group selfie and took one for us (I regret that we didn’t get one WITH her, but we’ll be back!!). She was absolutely hilarious, joking with all of us, and it felt like we were old friends. She even custom mixed a blue cheese dressing for my friend when the kitchen didn’t have any and she wanted some for her burger!! Whatever she’s being paid, she deserves at least double, because having her as our server made our whole night and we cannot wait to come back for dinner to see her again. The food was always going to be good, we knew the drinks would be great, but Kacy knocked the service straight out of the park. One of the best experiences I have had in a restaurant in a long long time. Thanks Kacy for a fantastic night out!!!”

“Always awesome! And the recent updated interior is very nice. Always an awesome experience and a very nice Krispy Kreme. You know how sometimes some fast food places don't live up to the standards? This one sets them. Won't be disappointed!”

“The best donut shop around! We come here almost every day for our annual beach vacation. They have such a fun and tasty selection of donuts. I'm so grateful they aren't closer to us because otherwise I'd be in trouble! Their apple fritters are the best, but they can sell out, so get there early or place an order ahead of time.”

“We came here for milkshakes and ended up with donuts as well. Everything is homemade, fresh, and made for you as you order. They have several flavors of ice cream and many sweet treats to choose from. We spent much more than intended but they have too much to tempt someone with a sweet tooth. It is a great place to visit to take care of that sweet craving.”

“I absolutely love this place! Cute little cat themed coffee and breakfast shop! My only qualm with the place is they seem understaffed. I had a wonderful young girl named Reagan get my group and I everything my group asked for extremely quickly (and we ordered a lot of stuff!), but it seemed like she was the only one there and when other people came in there was no one to help them until she finished our order. That being said she made me the best cappuccino I've ever had. We'll definitely be back!”

“Visited when the business first opened and have now returned again. They've really stepped it up! They've expanded everything...coffee selections, breakfast lunch and dinner foods, gelato and desserts, gift shop. Some reviewers report slow service, but mine was quick. Prices on the Starbucks side, but to be expected. Definitely recommend! Our meals were the sunrise bowl $8.99 and garden omelette $12.99. As for the Sunrise bowl it was biscuits and gravy topped with pepper gravy and two over easy eggs. The only chef recommendation that I would make is to add sausage chips to the gravy and ensure the eggs are cooked firmly. As for the Garden Omelette it was 3 eggs full of veggies and cheese served with toast and a large bowl of fresh fruit. It was excellent.”
