To me, they have far and away the best broth in Anchorage. That alone made me come back more times than I can count. As to customer service, I think that the staff is super friendly. I admit that one of the regular employees is just not a smiley, over-friendly representative, but I think that is more a personal trait than it is indicitive of any real customer service flaws. Even mentioning it makes me feel bad, because as I've gotten to know that one employee, we have warmed to each other.
I love, love, love Pho Dimond, and I truly hope their recent closure is only temporary.
I loved this restaurant..My daughter brought me here for lunch and she enjoyed a big bowl on pho and my grandson and I enjoyed a delicious plate of food.
First time here and I have to agree with some of the reviews here. There is almost 0 customer service. We came in and was not greeted. The staff is not very friendly at all and you won't see a single smile from them. No appreciation or they never asked if we need anything or what so ever. It almost like you are not welcomed there.
Now for the food, the Pho is actually good. I can't say it's the best broth I've ever had in town but it's up there. The serving size is pretty big compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in Anchorage. Someone in my party ordered the NY Steak with egg and it was OK. The size of the steak is about a kid size serving and the rice that came with the entree is for maybe a couple of adults. The steak was smothered in some sweet marinade and was a little too tough.
Will I recommend this place? probably not. Will I come back? I would probably give it 1 more try.
Love this place. We always go here whenever my family and I are in a Pho mood. Great place and Great people!
My first time here, mixed feelings about my first experience. Not sure they got my order right. I had ordered shrimp pan fried noodle and ended up with shrimp crispy noodle. Two of us ordered soft drinks that never arrived and we had to ask for them again. The ticket never showed up at the table and we ended up paying at the front counter. Those are the only negative items.
And now for the great part. Despite not getting what I ordered, I decided to keep what was given since it looked pretty good actually. The food for the group was excellent. The veggies in the dish were fresh and we all left with satisfied appetites. We ordered the ox tail pho, Mongolian beef, pineapple fried rice, and my shrimp dish.
The food menu is immense, with over 135 items to choose from there is something for any size party no matter how finicky they may be. The price is fair for the quality of the meal and atmosphere which is clean and neat. There is plenty of parking but did not take notice of the hours.
Would I recommend this restaurant?
Most definitely!
Will I eat here again?
Absolutely willing to give it another try, the food is certainly tasty. More stars are definitely possible with more time.
